Disneyanajc,
Did you book your basic thru AAA or Disney?

SilverAngel, we did book our basic thru AAA, we like using AAA
for all our Disney's trips and our agent is so helpful and it does
save us money.

Has anyone else run into the same situation of resorts already booked up for 2007? Let us know which resorts and for what months... :confused3

When I booked for June 2007, there were no garden view rooms at GF, so I went to book a lagoon view (not believe that garden view would be sold out 11 months in advance) by some sort of Disney magic a garden view became available when they tried to update the room catagory

Gonna do my Bridal Dance :::::::::::::Shakes Disney Bride Booty::::::::::: lol
I have booked my basic package for our honeymoon so far for feb at the AKL, but dang the travel channel showing me the WL report. Yes I tivo'ed it, AKL, and Grand Floridian lol. I know they say I can change my resort and I wont lie WL looks sooooooo nice, but so did AKL. It looked like a different and neat experience. Now you guys I trust you all cause we have never been to Disney before and I want to make sure I get my honeymoon perfect. I keep thinking :::::::helloooooo dumb dumb change fast to wilderness:::::::, but then I think well the whole neatness of the safari might be nice. I could use you guys input on this one. They said they get lots of Honeymooners at AKL. I made it very clear while thanking them and being as giddy as a child on the phone that this is our first time and our honeymoon and I just want it magic. Alos I think he has planned a surprise for me in the room at AKL which I am sure he can change. I will show hom both AKL and WL shows from the travel channel to see what he thinks, but I am really upset and torn cause I just want it so magical and disney I need help, so any advice guys please pass it on I am begging you. Have you ever had AKL go above and beyound for you celebrating something, or wl. I was told by AKL themselves that they make sure every Honeymoon couple gets treated special, but I am worried. Not just for how far out the resort is that is one thing that worries me, but heard the busses only run to and from that hotel to the parks, it just seems WL looks and fees nicer. The AKL cast members at the resort said the staff has supurb service and politeness, and I am sure they do, but I want the memory of me and him and all the magic I can have. He keeps saying if you have to travel from any resorts like Disney Travel said then what's the difference? I said hun we can go by bus or boat at AL, and only by bus at AKL, and bus rides can take 30 mins, but some have said it has taken less than that, and the WL boat can take about 20 he said 10 min difference is not that much to worry with. what do you all think helppppp a fellow Disneymooner please. Thank you. :bride:

Could Disney possibly book up this quickly? I don't know what to do. We want to go YC in June 6-13, 2007. Is this is "trick" to get people panicked about booking a room?

Please help :) We want to go in August 2007. I have it narrowed down to either of 2 weeks. My DH doesn't pick his vacations at work until Dec 06. He said it shouldn't be a problem getting a week in Aug since most of the others want June or July. When the packages come out and I book (usually with DU) how hard will it be in Dec if I need to switch weeks? And is there a penalty?
We also have AAA--I want to be clear on the fact that if I use DU they can give the AAA room only discount but if I want a package I have to book through AAA. Does AAA give discounts for the packages also or only rooms?? :confused3
TIA for your help :thumbsup2

I tried to book a std. view wing at CR today for the last full week in May (right before Memorial day)--all I could get was "garden view" which was the same price as Water View, so I'm not truly sure which view I'm paying for.

Just booked our basic package yesterday for CBR...Jan. 29 - Feb. 3. We are surprising DD for her birthday! I can't wait!!

WoW......are rooms really booking up so fast at Disney for 2007? :confused3 :confused3 Makes me glad I booked my basic package when I did then...... :confused3

My vote (which is probably biased, since I've been to WL and not AKL) is *W*L*!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: It is absolutely breathtaking. And it is closer to the MK. :cheer2: :teeth:

Good luck with your decision!! I'm sure you'll be happy no matter what! :thumbsup2

I booked mine for Nov. 07. I was wondering though..... I requested pool view, If they give me water (river) instead, can I switch back to standard view for a lower price at the time of check in?

Just book today....and waiting for the packages Upgrade!!! July 8-15, 2007 Animal Kingdom Lodge :cool1:

I am considering a trip for 2 adults & 1 child for August of 2007. I usually go on vacation in July, but with the new Summer Season rates being higher, I will go in August since 8/5 starts Value Season at the value hotels.

I am considering Allstar Movies because it really looked cute when I walked through earlier this month while I was staying at Allstar Sports, but my favorite is Pop Century.

When should I book for August of 2007? Do the hotels book up that fast, especially Allstar Movies?

I am having a hard time deciding whether I should book the room only through Disney and wait for the AAA rates and packages to come out or should I book through AAA so I can take advantage of the discount on the room even if I book a package? I am praying that they will have the free dining again next August. That will really be a bargain trip -- value rates and free dining -- can't wait to go.

Now!!! :thumbsup2 How about booking a basic package through AAA and then adding the package part next week (assuming that packages really come out on Sunday!) :teeth:

DW and I are going in December for an 11th anniversary trip for 5 nights at the Swan - all on Starwood points with air travel all on FF miles. DM is coming to our house to watch the kids for that week. I've got an annual pass and DW has left over days from the last trip. :woohoo: Now all we need to do is figure out how to visit WDW without spending $$$ on food and souvenirs. :scratchin

The next trip in the works is a family trip for July, 2006. We're trying to decide between WL and POR. DM will definitely be coming as well, potentially along with one or two other family members. So, we'll need either two rooms at either location, or a Deluxe at WL if only DM comes. Although I think we're likely to opt for two standards for the extra space and added bathroom.

Now all we need to do is pick the resort and the July date and book a basic package...
