DHS Top 5 Must Dos
Thanks for your suggestions! I saw several of our Must Do's for our trip listed, but none of you got my Number 1. Read on to find out what it is!
Coming in at Number 5:
This is one of our "Let's have Mr. Arb sit down for awhile" excursions, and something I remember doing as a kid. At least, I remember watching it on the VHS tape that my parents made of our Disney vacation. It's one of the attractions we have passed on during our last two trips to DHS, so I think it will be nice to have something new to check out.
Number 4:
As I was browsing a trip report over the weekend, Mr. Arb looked over my shoulder as I scrolled by the DIS-er's drawings from the Animation Academy and immediately requested for us to try this on our trip. He usually leaves it to me to plan out our park schedule/touring plans for the parks, so when he actually expresses interest in something, I want to make sure we find time to fit it in. I think we'll do this on our first day in the park, just to be sure we don't run out of time later on.
Number 3:
The ride that is on any thrill-seeker's Must Do list. I absolutely love this ride. I think we rode it three times last year, and I'd be willing to do it just as many times this year. My challenge for myself is to bring my camera and try to snap a picture on the ride when we're up in the tower and the doors open to expose the park. Maybe I'll use my old camera for that, just in case.
At Number 2:
You all should remember this from one of my first posts in the PTR about my Must Do's. This is in my top two never done and most anticipated attractions, and I'm almost as excited to take pictures in the queue as I am for the ride itself. I have a feeling we're going to be there too late to get Fast Passes on either of our scheduled days, but cross your fingers that at some point the wait will be under an hour.
And for my Number 1, absolute Must Do at Disney's Hollywood Studios:
Get a picture in front of Gertie the Dinosaur!
I love Gertie the Dinosaur (in case you couldn't tell from my avatar). It's probably the my most vivid memory about Disney from my first trip, and seeing it always makes me feel like I'm finally 'home.' I know that a pin of Gertie exists, and I regularly spend time scouring eBay and other sites to find one. I think I might have to buy a random pin this year and carry it around with me, just in case I see a cast member who has one, so I can trade.
Yes, I know, I'm an odd duck.
Next up - Epcot! I think I will do a top 6 for Epcot, since there is so much to see and do there, especially with the Food & Wine Festival. So lay them on me! What are you Epcot Must Dos?
