How many acronyms can we fit in 1 trip?MNSSHP,F&W,WWOHP,&HHN-Update 10.21-TR started!

Your plans look great Arb.

Thanks! Sorry I haven't been commenting on your TR - I've been reading most of your updates long after you've made them, and by the time I've finished, I forget what I wanted to say! Looks like you all had a lot of fun on your recent DISMeet though =)

I know exactly what you mean....I'm reluctant to post comments when I'm behind by an update or two, and I've read whole threads where I could never...quite...catch...up.

Testing, testing...

Hope everybody has been enjoying their Labor Day Weekend! Saturday I had a long overdue hair appointment, and yesterday Mr. Arb and I met up with some friends to go to dinner and see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (which was amazing, by the way). Before we left our friends, they gave us an invite to their son's 3rd birthday party, and the theme is Mickey Mouse! The party is in about two weeks, so I won't have a chance to get his gift while we're down in the World, but I think it'll be a nice set up to add some excitement for our own trip.

I originally thought today was going to be a semi-lazy day around the apartment, but Mr. Arb suggested we drive out to Annapolis to get some lunch, and so he could walk around for awhile and see how his knee does. I also thought it would be a good chance to bring the new camera and start playing around with it.

My camera has various settings where you can choose to emphasize the colors red, blue or green, and I spent a lot of time testing out those features.

It turns out I mostly just played with the red and blue. Sorry green!

As we were walking by the water, we found this amazing old, wooden boat:

I remembered my camera had a setting called "Nostalgia" and figured this would be a good time to use it!

I don't know if any of you watch Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel, but he visited this restaurant when he came to do his Maryland show, to finish their 6 pound shake:

The only other special setting I tried did not turn out so well. I was going for the effect where you focus on one color and the others are dulled. I was using this area to try and focus on the brick road:

But I think the sunlight was affecting the initial color selection, and it did not show up quite the way I hoped:

But all in all, it was fun to play around with my camera a little more, and learn just how the settings affect the end result. It's given me some insight into how to improve things before our trip, and how to decide what setting I want to use.

Great pics. I love the "nostalgia" shots. My camera has different settings but I have yet to look at.

Nice pictures. It's fun to play around with the camera settings.

Annapolis is a beautiful place.

Great pictures. I have a new camera on the way (it should arrive today!). Can't wait to play around with the features.

6 pound shake???? :scared1:

I really like how the boat nostalgia one turned out. I can think of a few areas/attractions where it will add a really nice element to the picture (Tower of Terror, anyone?)

Nice pictures. It's fun to play around with the camera settings.

For as close as we live to Annapolis, it's sad how little we actually go. We're moving slightly more north in the state in about two months, so Mr. Arb and I are trying to take advantage of our closeness now.

Great pictures. I have a new camera on the way (it should arrive today!). Can't wait to play around with the features.

6 pound shake???? :scared1:

New camera are always fun =) What kind did you get?

And yes, 6 pound shake. I found this picture of it on Google:

I got a Samsung. Nothing fancy, just a point and shoot but I like playing around with the different picture settings.

WOW! That is some shake! And I thought the sundaes at Beaches n Cream were huge!

One Month to Go!

Exactly one month from today, Mr. Arb and I will be arriving at MCO! We both have had a lot of stress with our jobs lately, so we have both been giddy with every day we've counted down for this trip.

We actually received our luggage tags/DME information over the weekend, but it was for our old reservations (when we were arriving on the 11th to Port Orleans). Everything has been corrected though, and I'm checking my mail daily for our new tags.

Tomorrow we're going to purchase our Keys to the Kingdom tour tickets. I spoke with Mr. Arb, and he said that he really wants to have the opportunity to enter the park before it's officially open and take advantage of the photo-ops that will present us, so it looks like we're going to try and book the 8:30 tour. We both also like that it will give us a little more free time in the afternoon.

I also decided to make one change in our plans. Since we will be spending the majority of our Tuesday at Animal Kingdom, and only have Monday evening set currently for DHS, I think we will be changing from AK to DHS on our arrival day. Then on Friday when we leave, if we want some more time at AK we'll head there early before our Le Cellier reservation, and spend the remainder of our time at Disney in Epcot. That way, we're not trying to run around too much before we have to head out to the airport.

Within the next few days, I'm going to steal something that several of you have done in your PTR's, and list my top 5 things to do in each park. I'm going to start with DHS because it will be our first Disney stop. What are your never-miss DHS attractions?

Hooray for DME tags arriving...even if they were wrong. :rotfl:

I think your new plans for arrival day and your last day are much better and you won't feel so stressed.

Our never-miss DHS attractions are: Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, Walt Disney, One Man's Dream and the Beauty and the Beast Show.

My must-dos at DHS are ToT, Rock n Roller Coaster, and Toy Story Mania. I looooove that ride, so fun!

I got a Samsung. Nothing fancy, just a point and shoot but I like playing around with the different picture settings.

WOW! That is some shake! And I thought the sundaes at Beaches n Cream were huge!

I can't imagine trying to finish that shake. We split a "Regular" size shake to go, and I was getting full after just drinking my half. They're so rich.

We LOVE Adam Richmond and Man v. Food in the Tinkerbellarella household. We remember this episode very well! :crazy2:

BF wants to visit SO many places Adam's been.

I'm like that with Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network. I almost suggested to Mr. Arb that we do a road trip honeymoon to visit many of the places he's gone, haha.

Yay for 1 month!

Hmmm. DHS....gotta do:

TSM
RnRC
ToT
Animation Academy (although didn't this past trip!)
catch some Streetmosphere

Your trip is fast approaching!! Your pictures are beautiful. Can't wait to see what your Disney pictures look like!

My top five for DHS:
TSMM
TOT
Beauty and the Beast show
The Great Movie Ride
And, it's not an attraction, but it's a must do-- eating lunch at Pizza Planet!!
