That's awesome! I wonder if we show up in the background anywhere in each other's pictures.
I prob saw you guys and commented how cute you looked. I always look for the couples with the bride and groom ears. I hope to be one some day!
SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!
Sorry I haven't been making many updates the past couple days. I've been busy trying to get ahead of the reading I have in my class this semester so I don't get too behind while we're at Disney.
We made one change to our plans last night. I realized that because we were going to two signature restaurants, we were over our TS allotment we had with the DDP. We decided to look through the menus and get an idea of how much our bill would be at each restaurant to decide which meal would be the best to pay OOP. That's when I saw it.
Jiko took the ostrich filet OFF their menu.
I absolutely love ostrich, and not surprisingly it is very hard to come by in Maryland. I was so excited when I'd first heard it was available at Disney, and it was one of my most anticipated meals of the trip for that reason. Mr. Arb and I talked it over, and decided that because it was a signature restaurant, and the one menu item I was drooling over was no longer available, we'd switch our reservation to a non-signature restaurant.
I was a little nervous going in to this, because I had no idea what would even be available this close to our trip. When I looked at the available restaurants, we narrowed it down to SciFi Diner (because we did enjoy it last year, and we'd already be in DHS) or Kona Cafe (I've heard good reviews, and I'm always up for trying new restaurants). We decided on...
Kona!
The reservation is at 8:15, so even though it's later than we normally eat, it still means we'll have a lot of time to spend in DHS, which is important, because we only have one other half-day scheduled there later in the week.
The soft opening of the Food & Wine Festival is today, so I'm very eager to start stalking threads on the DIS of people who are going and trying food from all the booths, so I can narrow down what I want to get. And this weekend I'm going to start packing up everything that I don't need to use sometime this week.
It's soooo close!!!
Not long now!![]()
for single digits. It will be here before you know it!!! We've not tried Kona--I'll be interested in what you think (although it's not mentoned in my TR yet as we aren't that far along, we missed our try at breakfast there this trip).
Yay for single digits! But boo for Jiko! I've been reading that they're changing up their menu a lot lately and it doesn't seem to be for the better. That was one that we were seriously considering for the Disneymoon, but now I'm not so sure.

IN 13 HOURS I WILL BE IN ORLANDO!!!!
I have finally finished all my homework for the week, taken my quiz due Monday, and submitted my research for my group project due on the 15th. Now I get to completely focus on getting ready to leave tomorrow morning - which in a way is bad, because it means my excitement level keeps raising, which is going to make it near impossible to sleep tonight.
I have my suitcases completely packed, but my large suitcase has a ton of room left in it, including after I placed my mid-sized carry-on bag in there that I plan to use to bring home souvenirs. (I know, I know, what kind of girl am I?) In a way, this is a good thing, because it means I can switch to the suitcase in my set that is one size smaller - last year I took this bag and on the flight out we wound up having to pay $30 extra for it.
Mr. Arb went to see one of his favorite singers tonight, so I am waiting for him to get home and finish packing to see if he needs to use any of my spare room. If not, I'm going to do a quick re-pack with the smaller suitcase and do a double check to be sure I haven't forgotten anything.
Our flight leaves at 7:45, so I think we're going to get to the airport around 6. Fortunately, we only live about 7 minutes away from the airport, so getting there on time won't be much of an issue. Of course, since I just typed that I've cursed myself to have an interesting morning.
Alright, I'm off to go charge my camera battery and clean some food out of our fridge so when we get home we don't walk into the smell of death in our apartment.
And yes, I am leaving you all with my last words being Smell of Death.
Hey guys! Got in last night around 10:00 - I was going to make an update earlier, but I use my User CP link to bring me automatically to the boards, and every time I clicked it said "The boards will be closed for two hours for an upgrade." I just finally decided to check the main boards and realized the site actually was functioning!
We had a good trip, with just a few missteps here and there. Ate some amazing food, met up with some friends, and crossed paths with someone from the DIS (even though I didn't actually get to meet them). We also managed to fit in almost all of the things on our Must Do list, though a few did fall to the wayside. My allergies also decided to flare up on our last day, and I was sniffling and sneezing constantly. I still sound sort of mannish, thanks to the congestion. It's a good thing the trip reports are written and not verbal, heh.
I took about 800 pictures that are on my computer, but have to be uploaded to photobucket or another hosting site before I get started, so keep an eye out here for the link to my Trip Report!
