how managable is MVMCP on Fridays?

Here is my problem.

We are set to arrive in WDW on Dec.11th (Thursday) we were thinking of doing MVMCP that evening but I am a little worried about delays in air travel since we are coming from a Northern state. I would like to be able to rest & relax before the party so we can enjoy the whole time. If the plane delays because of weather and we get in later then expected, means we will be very tired during the MVMCP.

So we are thinking of making to the MVMCP on the 12th instead (Friday) I am just wondering how the crowds are on Fridays. Will we be able to enjoy a lot of the shows & rides without too many lines?

We are only going to be down in WDW from Dec.11th-Dec.15th, a very short trip so we don't have many options. We could go on Sunday the 14th but my concern lays with, what if it rains out? Then we would not be able to see the party at all. We mainly are going in December to see MVMCP & the other Christmas concerts so it would be a major disappoint if we didn't see it.

So are Friday nights really THAT bad??

for a quick weekend to see the xmas lights....we got ressies for that night at MVMCP and even though we landed at noon......we were exhuasted that night....we went and had a good time and the crowds were from the night before as well as our night.because of the rain they had....it was still manageable and we had a great time...the hot cocoa and cookies were good and much needed .....our winter gear was on our back....and saturday night at the osbourne lights we wore our winter gear and mittens too......
