How loud is it?

I would be less worried about the kids, and more worried whether or not there will be a Fort Fiend GG at the same time as your visit! :lmao:
Not mentioning any names, ahem, just saying. :rolleyes1

I'm so lost to this statement:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:???:confused3

Not to worry. She's referring to our Disboard Fort Fiend Grand Gathering this past Halloween. Actually - we were a bunch of duds and had it all packed in by about 10:30pm. That is....except the rowdy cart round up riders! They blazed trails previously unknown! :lmao:

It's WAY too loud at the Fort.
In the morning people coming and going all to the parks, this noise is ALL DAY LONG. Bus noise that stops at everyloop to transpot folk. Adults laughing and talking loud as they go by. Kids running around screaming and having fun campers coming and going all day long setting up site, breaking down site, constant boat horns sounding off all day and night. All the noise from the golf carts. If you are too close to the campfire you have to put up with all the people hav'n fun singing aloud and enjoying themselves..All that fireworks noise coming from the MK night after night. The boat parade coming by EVERY SINGLE night blaring music.

BahHumBug !
Who needs it !

Now you've gone and done it. I'm feeling homesick. I love those sounds. I'm going to have to start planning for my next trip.

Guess I have been lucky! always had good neighbors at FW, seems like we all "fed" off of the peace and quiet. I was always wondering if I were the noisy one! The sliding door on my converted bread truck RV makes a good "slide->clunk" no matter how I lube or adjust it...

Happy kid noise is never a problem!

and don't forget all the outside vendors pressure washing the big rigs on Saturday and Sunday morning. I get stuck next to these a-holes I swear every single time we visit the fort...ugh

I swear they should ban this from the Fort!:sad2:

I know it's Disney and by no means do I expect total peace and quiet but I was just wondering just how loud it gets at night with all of the kids all hyped up on Disney endorphines:laughing:?

Which sites are the quiet sites for tent/pop-up's??

Thanks ahead of time!

Pretty much all of the sites are pretty quiet. The 100 loop may get loud because of how close it is to Trail's End and the boat dock, but it still never gets too loud.

We were at FW for almost 2 weeks & were amazed at how quiet it was on the 200 loop. There will be some noise if you are located near a comfort station as we were, but not a major deal.

We only had a couple nights where there were problems. See this thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2326223

Other than that FW was super quiet during our stay. Ohh except for the fireworks & light parade at night which completely reenergized my 3yr old DS.

OHHH how I miss FW.

Wow, we were right across the street from a comfort station the weekend and week following Thanksgiving last year and noise was never a problem from that direction. Now the yapper dog in the pop up across the street from us is another story. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE dogs and still shed tears for our Angel (German shepherd/Keeshound mix that we adopted when she was 5 years old) that we had to put to sleep almost a year ago due to cancer. We tried taking her camping ONCE and as much as I loved her she was just NOT a camping dog. So as responsible owners, we would have to board her or get one of our kids to take care of her when we vacationed. These folks just ignored the problem. We tried ignoring it the first night, but by the second night were ready to call and complain except someone beat us to it. Security came by and talked to them and that was the last that was seen or heard of from said dog the rest of our trip. Other than that and the fireworks the last night we were there, the rest of the time we were actually at our site were remarkably quiet.

Wha-wha-whaaaaat?!?! Disney actually enforced the rules about yapping dogs??? :faint:

Srsly, I'm really glad to hear that they did this. We camp with our 3 dogs and do a lot of extra work to make sure they're happy and QUIET in the camper. I don't want to hear anyone else's dogs, and I certainly don't want anyone to be annoyed by ours. I hate to hear when other people are inconsiderate and give the rest of us responsible dog owners a bad name.

We were tent camping and the only "noise" stories we came home with were the bands playing 'til 4am in MK for grad nights (April), golf cart races with squealing breaks 'til about 2am, and bus engines/breaks 'til all hours but less frequent from 1-6am. I wished our only noise would have been kids, that would have been a nice break from what we did get. Be sure to pack the sleeping pill, ear plugs, and eye masks and maybe you'll get some sleep.
