How long would it take to walk to WDW?

2,240 km – about 19 days 0 hours from East Toronto

29 days and 3 hours from Winnipeg! We'd actually take longer walking at this point than we have left before we'll be there!

18 days and 23 hours from Brampton

19 days, 2 hours from the burbs of Toronto

16 days 18 hrs from St. Thomas ON. Google lets me cheat and puts me on the Leamington/Pelee Island ferry to Sandusky, OH :thumbsup2 Less walking for me :lmao:

From Sooke, B.C. (where I live) to Disney World: 5,654 km and about 47 days, 13 hours. Guess I better get going. ;)

From Vancouver BC
3,522 mi – about 48 days 1 hour

And I am guessing that is non-stop walking. LMAO so hard!

Isn't that funny, I live on Vancouver Island and yet it takes me 1 days less to walk there and I know I can't walk on water.

It is really cool that google does this now. We just got back from a trip to Europe and before we left I was trying to figure out what sights we should walk to and which we were better off taking a cab to. This would have helped, cause the directions by car have to take you longer routes quite often because of all the one way streets etc. in the older sections of some of the cities.

1,270 mi – about 16 days 21 hours for me, and I get to go on the ferry, too! I like the advice at the top, though.
Use caution when walking in unfamiliar areas.
:rotfl:

Only about four days and four hours for me! :thumbsup2

Interesting that the walking route looks much closer to a straight line than the driving route I take, but it is actually farther. According to the site, it is 303 miles to walk from my town, versus only 286 to drive. Weird. There must be lots of tiny digressions that really add up on the walking route, which is almost completely different from the driving route.

Sure would be interesting to know what assumptions Google is making in figuring the walking time. I thought there might be a link that would explain it, but if there is, I couldn't find it.

If I select the driving option but check "Avoid highways," it gives me a route that is five miles shorter -- but adds two hours to the drive! Goes from fours and 17 minutes to six hours and 15 minutes. Of course, add two or three stops in there, as we always need, and it winds up taking roughly five hours to drive in the real world.

Some people like to take a driving route other than the interstate because they think there's more to see. Not in my case. I drove the "back way" to WDW once two or three years ago because I thought it might be faster and there'd be more to see. Wrong on both counts. The only thing there was more of to see, for the most part, were red lights and 35-mph speed limit signs. Never again!
