How long to receive deed?

Our mortgage was paid off December 1, 2005 and we still have not received the papers showing full payment as well as the deed. I have called on more than one occasion and was told "in a few weeks". About 8 weeks ago I did receive a notice that it was paid off and the documents would be sent "soon". I called again last week and was told again "in a few weeks". I feel this is ridiculous. If I owed them something and I told them "in a few weeks" I am sure they would not still be waiting. How long does it normally take to get the papers?

Bump - someone must have paid off their loan

I think maybe DVC and/or Disney is backed up in general. We just had a very large amount go through our bank account from our vacation back in February. At first I thought it was fraud, until I looked a little closer. I did call BCV to ask about it, and the man I spoke to said that DVC had told him they would call people to let them know how far behind they were on processing charges. But I guess they were behind on the calling, too!

I know this doesn't officially help you, but it's all I could think of.

I keep calling Disney and receive the same answer "You should have it within a few weeks. It was paid off in November 2005 - it is now June 2006. Am I the only one waiting? Please answer if you are also waiting and for how long.

i got mine right away in less than a month when i paid it off that was last july

We paid cash for an add-on in February this year and just received our deed yesterday.

Same for us - February with deed received on Monday.

We closed on our resale the end of March, our deed ariived Monday.
