How long to have luggage moved when switching resorts?

Thinking of doing a split stay and wondering how long it takes to have luggage show up at our next resort?

It won't show up at the next resort until after 3 PM. You can stop by Bell Services when you get to the resort and see if it's arrived, or call them when you get to your room and have them bring it up.

I don't remember the time, but I've been told luggage moves mid-late afternoon. So even if you give your bags to bell services at 8 am, you still won't see them until 4 or so .

After 3:00 and you have to be in your room when they deliver them. We just give them a call when we’re going to be in the room for the afternoon.

You can also take an Uber and drop off your bags at the new hotel, check-in, leave from the new hotel.

We have done this several times with success. The only issues (lost our luggage) we had, were having luggage moved from a value resort to a deluxe, the bellman at the values are just not as good. Another thing that really helps is making sure your bellman are tipped both ways.

As mentioned, no matter what time you turn over your luggage to Bell Services, nothing will start moving until 1pm. Disney does a massive, coordinated move from/to all resorts all art once (more or less).

Luggage being transferred is picked up at each resort and sent to a central facility where it is sorted, loaded back onto trucks and sent to the new resort. Pick-ups start at 1 and the prices can take 3 or more hours. Bags are "usually" at the new resort between 3 and 4, but it can be later.

Also as mentioned, your bags will not be delivered to your room automatically. You must call from your room and request they be delivered and you must be there to take delivery. Tips ARE expected at both ends.
