How long to buy-in at BCV through DVC? **Awesome Update**

Good luck. I am curious why you have ruled out buying a BCV resale contract. Many people on these boards, myself included, bought in to DVC via the resale market. In your case, you would probably get you your BCV points more quickly by purchasing a resale contract. I bought my contract through The Timeshare Store and had a very positive experience, as have others here on the boards.

We are thinking of buying at BCV. We would be able to pay in cash. What would the advantages to buying resale verses disney. It seems to me that I could probably get the points I need resale now rather than be on a wait list with disney. And it seems that I could get a better price per point. Am I correct or is there some advantage to waiting and buying via disney?

Be sure to talk to TTS too, since I've heard many listings are sold before they ever go on the web site. We got lucky and saw one pop that DW grabbed right away - weren't really planning to buy but she was so psyched, we made a split second decision and have been very happy with it.

I don't know of any advantage buying through Disney other than financing and not worrying about ROFR. But resale should definately be cheaper, and likely quicker for the older resorts.

Well, I know this will be hard to believe (I can scarcely believe it myself) but I am now the proud owner of 160 points at BCV!!!! My guide called this morning and said that opening myself up to all UYs had paid off in my favor. I've already got my member number and am anxiously awaiting my PIN so I can check out the Member website. I am so excited I'm about to burst.
