How long to add on points at sold out resort?

sceneabeach...I just called my guide and "edited" my points request. We are now only down for 70pts, and only the Aug UY. Now that I actually have BCV points, I would like to keep them all the same uy.

My VWL points came through on Friday!!!! I got a call Sat. morning from my guide saying they came through while he was off Friday! 150 more VWL Feb. UY points for us! So, basically it took from 2/12- to 3/11 to get them. Just though others might find this info useful.

Can you get on the list if you don't own, or is my only hope a resale?

RayJay, you can get on the list with DVC even if you don't own. They will probably try to talk you into SSR instead, but if you are adamant that you will only buy VWL they will put you on the list. That way you can get Disney financing if you need it. You won't get any of the current SSR incentives, just so you are aware. I think the price is $89 per point for sold out resorts. Good Luck!

question for you guys:

i called my guide today aboutadding 50pts at BWV, June use year. she said they had some and if she could snag it i would get '04 pts? does that sound right? i would need to use or lose wouldn't i? and i'm almost at my 25% banking window so that doesn't do me much good does it. i asked her if i would be allowed to bank them all and she said no but she would ask. i'm waiting on a call back. i certainly don't want points i can't use or bank!

i'm a bit confused since i assumed any add on would be for my coming 05 use year.

Still waiting. I wonder if DVC accepts members on the wait list and when there is sufficient demand for a particular resort and use year goes out and exercises ROFR to provide the supply.
