How long of a ride is Carousel of Progress?

hehehe... sorry had to do it...
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow,
Shining at the end of every day.
Yes, there's a great big beautiful tomorrow,
And tomorrow is just a day away.

Man has a dream, and that's the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality,
It's a dream come true for you and me.

Oh there's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day,
Yes there's a great big beautiful tomorrow -
Just a day away!

A test to see if we can act right

And it was an epic fail in the first several post

Had this been an actual thread we would all be burning alive

I kid I kid
You all crack me up

Unless it's an emergency, anyone trying to leave CoP, should be forced to sit and 'enjoy' the attraction 3-4 times in a row. ;-)

I love it! I hop on it every time I'm in MK.

I am doing a project and I need to know about how long Carousel of Progress is. It is one of the few rides I have never ridden. I just need a ballpark time nothing exact. Thanks!

Very few others have either. That's why the answer to your question will be somewhat limited.

My granny always made everyone she went to WDW with go to the CoP. It's silly but next time I go I will continue the tradition for her.

Its a ride AND a show - you get the best of both worlds!!

TP/Lines says there are "shows" every 21 minutes. One of the first attractions I had experienced when I first went to WDW many moons ago.

Well, that's incorrect. Guests load every 5 minutes. ;)

Yeah but do you remember when it was. . .

These are the days
These are the best days
These are the best days of your life
Life is a ??? (maybe gamble)?????
??Live every minute???
What you get out
Is what you put in it

That's awesome. I think I may have found the DIS'er who can answer a question I've had...

Is the posted wait time (aside from discussions of "padding") intended to represent time until start if the "actual" attraction, as denoted by your times? Here's the specific example that makes me ask: wait time posted as 8 minutes for Laugh Floor, 8 minute attraction, but we were in there about 30 minutes. So, for the attractions with pre-shows, can you expect that to be counted as part of the wait time, or an additional unadvertised time, KWIM? And if the latter is the case, please go ahead and post all those pre-show durations as well..... ;). Ok, maybe that last part is a little much, but thanks if you know the answer to the first part!!

Can anyone guess how old this list is? :)

Wow..I was gonna respond 5-10 minutes. I never realized I was in there so long! COP is one of my favorite attractions (don't ask me why!).

Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Now is the best time of your life.
Life is a prize, live every minute.
Open your eyes and watch how you win it!
Yesterday's memories may sparkle and gleam,
tomorrow is still but a dream.
Right here and now,
you've got it made.
The world's forward marching and you're in the parade!
Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Be it a time of joy or strife.
There's so much to cheer for, be glad you're here.
For it's the best time of your life.

It is still my favorite version, and love when I here the music in the Tomorrowland background loop
