How long is your typical vacation at WDW?

I have done 4 days and 5 days.In October we are going for 8 nights!I am so excited.

Usually 8 days, and in July. We've gone in October, but for me it's just not the same. My DW thinks I'm nuts, but I like the warm, all right --HOT weather, Im just more comfortable in it. I'm a "people watcher" and love to just sit and talk to people form different places. The summer is just more condussive for that. Sorry I rambled....

We are going for five nights/six days in April. We try to do this every other year. Our longest trip was two weeks in 1999 when we stayed at CSR. It was great. We live a long way away so we make the most of the time when we are in WDW

We have been going twice a year- one long 8 to 10 day trip and one short 4 to 5 five day trip.

Our trips are usually 4 nights and 5 days. Only once have we stayed 7 days.

On the years it is our main trip we go 16 nights. We have been once for 9 nights. I couldn't see going any less than that if we're flying from the UK.

Our trips are 10-12 days. Our next trip will be in December 2006 for 10 days with our two daughters. We are surprising them with a trip to WDW for Christmas.

We are from the UK and visit for 3 weeks every August, actually though we regard our holidays as Florida one's rather than just WDW.

We rotate every other Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those trips are 9 night if Thanksgiving and 10 if Christmas. In summer we go for 10-11 nights in June.

We have been going every other year for the past 8 years (98, 00, 02, 04, now 06) for 8 days and 7 nights. However, I just got a part-time gig teaching online , and guess where that money's going to...that's right, baby...WDW EVERY YEAR FOR TWO WEEKS!

I've already informed my DH of my evil plans and he just shook his head and rolled his eyes! (But I know he secretly wants to do the same thing with the extra money, so it's a done deal, y'all!)

We usually go on either DH's Feb/April school break for 7 days, and have gone every other year at Christmas, for 8/9 days. We have been lucky enough to do some long weekend birthday trips, and some summer trips for just DH and I. We spend too much time in WDW -- on one AP we had 29 admissions!

I've gone 5-8 days a twices a year the last couple years. My ideal would be three times a year for a week each. Not sure I can afford that much time away from work. I have the vacation time, but the work load gets crazy. Maybe I should shoot for one week, three times every 18 months. We'll see.

We go around 3 times a year for 3-5 nights each visit.

We love the Flower and Garden festival, MNSSHP time, and Chtistmas decoration time. We have an extra one this year, the family vacation which is what our countdown is for!

Two weeks in July and starting this year we added five nights in January for the marathon! Last year we stayed 17 nights in July so now we're dividing it between July and January.

question- Those of you that travel from beyond the south- Ill, Mass, PA etc.And those that go maore than once a year.... How do you and/or your spouse get off that much time? Do they use everyday of their vacation for Disney only? i'm just curious- to afford 2 weeklong or more trips-flying- to Disney even with the vacation club you'd both almost have to be working .... then aside from the financial burden- the time off would be a challenge to us..I teach so I could probably swing the time(although not the cost) he works in a job he;s had for a long time and he doesn't get that much time off... and he always need a few of those days to do nothing and work around the house, relax,,not drive etc.

So how do those of you that travel long distance and go more than 8 days a year- handle the time off?

We are both teachers in Illinois, so we have gone during Christmas break, Spring Break and Summer. So yeah we basically hit the most crowded times of the year but somehow we manage. As for the cost, we try to limit ourselves throughout the year knowing that any $ spend during the year couldve been $ we had for Disney.

We usually do 7 days most trips as it has always been just DH and I and we are able to get everything done and still relax. When we have children we will likely add on a few more days to our WDW trips.

1st trip - 6days/5nights. We found out this was just NOT enough
2nd trip - 7days/6nights. Better, but still not *exactly* right
3rd trip - 8days/7nights. Hmmm, I see a pattern!
4th trip - 8days/7nights. Ok, I *think* we might have it.
5th trip coming this May - 10days/9 nights. Ok, we didn't have it before, but maybe this time?? Ok, probably not. We'll just keep adding days until it's enough!!!!!

We're from Illinois. We take grandma with us--she doesn't work outside the home. I save up my comp time and use it for vacations. I take DS10 out of school about 3/4 days before its truly over because the grading period is already closed and they just do desk clean out, school carnival, etc. He doesn't care that he misses school carnival--he'd rather be at Disney!!!
