How long is Mission Space?

We did n't think about telling Disney due to all the warnings posted on the ride. I know it doesn't say anything about the G Force effects, but I figured he was riding it at his own risk.

Right now, we are just enjoying every day. It was a real scare, and we are still dealing with the trauma.

Does anyone know how you're "buckled in" to this thing? Is there just a belt that goes around you like in Body Wars/Star Wars, or is it more like a traditional roller coaster with a "U" shaped arm that comes down on either side of you? Or, is it just a bar that gets put against you like a doombuggy in the HM?

I also noticed that each person has their own sort of "compartment" for riding the ride, is this true? If so, how roomy is it? I've got *really* broad shoulders and I don't feel like waiting for the ride and then be told I'm going to have a problem with it.

If I remember correctly, a "U" shaped device is lowered over your head to secure you in place. Then the front "console" is brought closer to you before the ride starts.

It is an awesome ride! The first time we rode it we did it three times in a row. After that I had a slight headache, but that was all.

At what point do people begin to get ill? I would imagine that the g forces of the "blastoff" sequence would prevent anything from coming back up.

Seriously, I rode twice one morning in January. (The first time we were the first people on it, which was kinda good, because we didn't have to stand around in line and get nervous!) I didn't have any sensation of spinning either time.

If I remember correctly, one of the advisories on the sign outside the building is about being hydrated, and I think that may be why I was a little headachy after getting off the second time -- it was about three hours later, and I probably hadn't had much of anything to drink in the intervening time.

Now that I've read a little bit more about how it works, there's a part of me that wants to *not* look at the screen, just to figure out what's actually happening to the ride vehicle. Anybody crazy enough to try it?

It was the longest four minutes of my life!!! Way too long!! I followed all the rules - kept my head back, eyes straight ahead, breathed in the "pumped" in air and was still sick for about three hours afterwords.... Leap Year Debbie - that is horrible about your husband! Glad he's ok now. My mom went with us last year and she didn't ride anything big because she had a detached retina a year prior and was afraid that the rides might effect it. I love all the rides, but they are definitely not worth your health!!!
