How Long from deposit till closing on DVC????

I made my deposit yesterday over the phone. My guide said the paperwork would be sent via fedex and would be here by the end of the week. I forgot to ask him this; How long from now till closing approximately?

I am so excited making this purchase. More excited than when we purchased our house. LOL

After making my deposit over the phone ( about 3 weeks ago), I received a call the next day from my guide with my membership number. I was able to call and book my November trip right away. I received the papers about 3 or 4 days later. We kept everything for about 2 weeks before sending it back. Its now been one full week since shipping the Fedex back. I expect to hear feedback on my financing this week. We won't actually close until August (possibly sooner) and my first payment will begin on Sept 15th. We have a September Use Year.

We have the same september use year with our first payment Oct 1st. Ok, so if my representative doesn't call me in a day or two I'll call him so that I can make my reservations for September. The rep assured me that going then would be no problem. Hubby is just being pessimistic thinking they'll turn us down or something will go wrong and we should wait before doing any planning using DVC.

I was hoping it would be a quick process of just a couple weeks.

Hi,
I sent all my paperwork back on Thursday May 5th. Disney received it the next day. I tracked it through Fedex. I received my approval letter the following Thursday May 12th. I will close Aug 2, 2005. My use year is also Sept. My first payment will be on Sept 15th. Hope this helps..Marianne

My guide called me back with the number because I asked him to. He knew I was anxious to book our November trip. Your guide should have your number in less than 24 hours of making your deposit.

I sent my papers via fedex on mon.5/16 and have not heard anything yet. I'm not panicky just yet . My closing is also aug. with a sept. use year. First payment 9/15/05. Can't wait to burn those points!

Ok, that is a relief knowing that we will get an approval within a couple of weeks and I think I do remember my rep saying something about an August closing date as well. Something to do with the construction not being completed. Thank you all for answering my question.
