We did 10 days last October & by the 8th day I was ready to go home :faint: (we didn't take enough breaks & smell the roses :flower3: We will not be doing that again)...just curious..how long are your trips to Disney world? ::MickeyMo

On our honeymoon, we did 2 weeks- made for a very relaxing trip.

The next trip we did 5 days and that was alittle more rushed (still pre-children though)

Our past trip was 8 days and it was perfect. We saw everything, we weren't rushed, there was time to do some facvorites a second or third time. This was also our first trip with a child (DS2)

Our next trip is also for 8 days...

Good luck!

My 1st trip was 6 days and we definately were rushed and could not quite see everything we wanted too but almost because of good planning.
So for the 2nd trip I was going to do 7 days and pushed it to 8 to not be so rushed and I have a good plan in place. I keep thinking of squeezing in one more day but I think it maybe too much. :scratchin

On average, 9 nights. Solo, I do 8 nights which is more than enough time.

Most I've done is 12 nights, which was WAY more than enough.

We are kind of all over the place. We just did a 3 night trip (which was a surprise) and next we are doing a 5 night trip. We did a 8 night trip 2 yrs ago and that was a great trip.

Before we were DVC members it seems we would do a standard week vacation. Now that we are DVC members it seems we do what we can to avoid those expensive Fri/Sat point nights, therefore doing just 5 night stays.

For a whole vacation I like at least 7 nights/8 days.

I've made 4 and 5 night quick trips too though. I don't think I'd go less than
4 nights though.

I've been enough so I don't really rush anymore and I'm okay if I miss
a few things. There are certain MUST do's and then the rest is extra.

My next trip is only 5 nights, but I got a great deal on a room because
I'm going Sunday to Friday (no weekend nights) so I took it.

Maximum time we went was 12 days - that was FANTASTIC and I cannot wait until we can do that again. Minimum time we went was 4 days back when there were only 3 parks and that was horrible. This time we "only" have 7 full days(not counting travel days) and I am in a panic because it feels way too short - lol :)

My first family trip back in Oct 2002, we stayed 7 days six nights and we felt rushed. I went with a large group of people and we just didn't have a plan in place and didn't get to see all that WDW had to offer. On the bright side, it was my first stay at the Polynesian and was magical.

In Feb 2004 Grandpa and Grandma treated my family to a stay at the CR in a North garden wing room (thanks to the SOG program) for 7 nights/6 days. We got to see a lot of the things we missed the first time and had fun. It was too cold to swim for most of our stay and we missed staying at the Poly. We were ready to go home on the last day and thought we would never do a long week again. For me the resort really made the difference.

On our 3rd trip in April 2005 with just my wife and kids we did 7 nights/8 days and split our stay. We did 2 days at AKL and 5 at the Poly and really covered some ground. I didn't want to leave the Poly on our last day and we as a family were a little sad but knew it was time to go. I think it depends on the resort you stay at and how comfortable you are. I couldn't see myself staying 2 weeks in a hotel room and if I did that long of a vacation it would have to be in a 2 bedroom Villa on Disney property.

We prefer 13/14 nights (one year we did 16) - that gives us plenty of time to do things at a very relaxed pace. I have done 7 nights for solo trips.

The longest time we have done is 10 days and that was perfect, shortest is 7 which always seems so short and rushed. I would like to try 2 weeks if I can get DH to go along with it.... :earsboy:

Our first trip was 8 days/7nights in 2002. The second trip in 2004 we decided to do 9 days/8 nights--it felt too long. This time in Dec. 2005 we only did 6 days/7nights. If we would have gone to a water park, it wouldn't have been long enough. Plus, I feel the more times we visit there, the more I know which rides or shows we don't care for and skip them. ;)

Wow, we must be in the minority lol...We have only went for 2.5 days both times we went, that is 2.5 park days. We arrived on Friday left on Monday, planes only allowed half day in aprk either friday or monday..This year we are hoping to spend 5 days and we are taking the kids this time.

Absolute minimum- 4 nights. You can get lots done in the slower seasons, but it is definitely 'commando' style touring. We needed a vacation after our 4 night vacation at WDW!!! :faint:

Perfect trip- 7 nights, 8 days. :sunny: We did this last October, and it was great- we didn't have to rush around, and we got to do some 'extras' that we never had time for before (Pirate Cruise, DQ, waterparks, MNSSHP, and just relaxing at our resort). We are planning another trip in 2007 for 7 nights again.

We go for 2 weeks, it makes for very relaxing trips. We have mid day breaks each day, have plenty of relaxing times and enjoy the parks at a pace that suits us. We also then have time for a day or 2 off site visiting a few other places.

I did a 16 night Disney/Universal combo (11/5) and that STILL was not enough time.

I could easily do 3 weeks, 2 at Disney & 1 at universal... the reason for this is I do stop to smell the roses, there are days we don't even leave the resort. We sleep in and take it easy an really enjoy the vacation, half days at park - never a marathon day, reading books by the pool, swimming the whole day, taking a nap etc... :goodvibes
