How long did it take you to order a b-day cake?

I'm frustrated. I called last week to order a birthday cake and no one ever called me back (that I know of). I called again today about an hour ago and I'm still waiting. I tried to order one last year while at WDW and could never get through to anyone. DH still complains about it. I can't sit by the phone for days on end waiting for them to call me back. Isn't there a number I can call and actually speak with a CM? I need a cake for June 6th (next Wednesday) delivered to LTT. The number I called is 407-827-2253. I've already looked at the Birthday Cake sticky thread but it's pretty long. Thanks.

5/29/07: DINE: New "Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice. Guests may request a 6-inch cake(non-personalized) upon arrival at the podium for $12.50+tax (no advance notice required).

They just called! Whew. That's a load off my mind. Thanks for the info. I would have done that but I wanted DD's cake to be personalized so it had to be ordered over the phone. For those interested, I ordered an 8" vanilla cake ($25) with an edible image of Donald Duck ($8) and personalization....$33.

Glad that worked out! I ordered a personalized b-day cake about a month ago. We are staying at GF and having dinner at Narcoossee's one night. It took me forever to get the right number and get in touch with someone - that was the difficult part - but when I finally did speak with someone, they very incredibly helpful! Since it was just the 2 of us for dinner, I was able to have them do a personalized 6" cake. I got vanilla cake, a strawberry mousse with fresh strawberries mixed in for a filling, and chocolate frosting. I can't wait to dig in!
