How long are holiday decorations up?

I was in WDW January 2-12 of this year and I believe all the decorations were still up the whole time. I am going again with my family in two weeks and we will be in the parks the 10th and 11th. I originally told them the decorations would probably still be up but didn't guarantee anything. I just read that the decorations would be up through the "first week of January." This didn't come from a reliable source and I couldn't find a definite answer anywhere. Anyone have any ideas of when the holiday decorations come down in the parks? Thanks

They're usually up for the marathon but start disappearing FAST after that.

normally when they are up during marathons xmas things appear on the schedule.

I really think the budget cuts has things coming down Jan 1 this year. I hope it's up for you and they are still using them but to me, all signs point to saving money making so nothing runs longer than it needs to.

I want to say they come down the 3rd or 4th in the parks. A few years ago we were there the 1st through the marathon weekend and one day the decorations were there and the next it was all gone. Amazed me how fast they actually got them taken down -- not gradual at all. Osborne lights used to be up until the 4th, I think. I want to say the resorts stay a bit longer than the parks.

Seems to me like they came down the first weekend in January. They'll likely be down by the 10th.

I know that the special Christmas booths in Epcot shut down on the 30th. I think the gingerbread houses a time the deluxe resorts went to limited hours for the first week in January.

“Starbright Holidays – An Intel Collaboration” runs through January 8 at Disney Springs,so I'm "assuming" that means all the Christmas Decor at The Springs will remain up at least until then.:)

Having done Marathon Weekend numerous times, (basically first full weekend after Jan 1st) I've seen everything from all the decor being gone before we get there, to almost everything still being up after we leave. Once year we came back to AKL after being in the parks late, and they were taking the lobby tree down when we got there (cool to see by the way). And usually any train station pics early trip will have the ornament in the flowers, but late trip pics will just be Mickey. Any of the entertainment will 99.999% be done on NYE, perhaps with the castle still being lit up at night, just without any lighting ceremony. Leaving most of the decor up doesn't cost them anything significant, but they do take most of it down pretty fast.

Personally, since when NYE and Marathon weekend fall this year, the 10th may be on the late side to seeing much of anything.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but I always had a different impression. I thought that in those years when budgets were tight, the decorations come down slower and in phases, because there are fewer staff assigned to handle the work. But most years, there's a pretty reasonable budget that ensures that the parks/resorts are reset back to normal decor in a quick and orderly manner.

I honestly do not remember them being up past mid-January. I could be wrong, that is just the type of thing that I wouldn't really pay attention too, but I think they come down pretty quickly after New Years.
