How long after your ADR were you seated?

Most of the time we are seated almost immediately.

Biergarten often seems to be a little bit of a wait (20 minutes or so - not out of line - but I've never been seated immediately there). I had a long (at least 40 minute) wait at Ohana and a half hour wait at Boma - those have been the exceptions though.

Often we check in at the podium and are walked straight to our seats.

It depends on when you go. I was there the week of and leading up to Thanksgiving, and we waited a minimum of 10 minutes at every ADR. The two worst were Garden Grill for a late dinner on an EMH night (30 minutes) and Liberty Tree Tavern 7pm the night before Thanskgiving, which ended up being a grueling hour and 10 minutes. They weren't taking walk ups, the families eating were just taking a REALLY long time. When we finally sat down, there was a family of 12 sitting next to us that already had food, and an hour later when we paid our bill, they hadn't even asked for dessert yet. The poor waiter looked like he was going to have a heart attack. He was very kind to us and didn't rush us at all, so we tipped him REALLY big and didn't linger over coffee.

Actually, those were the two that also had the longest waits when I went fourth of July weekend, too, but the waits were 15 and 20 minutes, much more manageable.

Its really varied for us - from 5 minutes to over an hour. The worst ones that come to mind are

Boma
Crystal Palace
le Cellier
Mama Melroses
Chefs de France

I don't think the issue is with the restaurant - rather it is with some idiots (and I am being kind) who think its fine to longer for 2+ hours over their meal. I am not saying anyone should be rushed, but some people like to sit there forever and it causes issues. And I don't have a problem with folks lingering over a longer meal at restaurants where that is natural - but don't do it in ones in the parks

What everyone needs to remember is that ADRs are not reservations in the "true" sense of the word with specific seating times. Having a "dining reservation" time at a WDW restaurant does not guarantee that an empty table will waiting for you when you arrive. It means that you will be given the first available table for your party after checking in. Unfortunately, if several other people who have an ADR arrive before you (even if they have a later reservation time), you'll have to wait in line.

We love eating at the disney restaurants and always make our ADRs in advance. We have never had a huge problem and have been sat on time except for at LeCellier steak house and Coral Reef had to wait 30 min past adr times for both of those. We have even arrived early and they sat us early at some of the buffets like Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace. You can count on your ADR time to be pretty close at least by my past 6 experiences. My reservations were anywhere from 5:30-6:30 hope that helps. You are on the right track and making your ADR...I have seen many famlies try to walk in at chef Mickeys with no ADR around 6:30 and they say we have 9:00 pm or nothing at all as I look at there little kids and think no way they are gona make it that long.....ughh Gl luck you should be fine, and have a magical trip.:tinker:
