how long after seeding lawn do you fertilize?

I overseeded our lawn a few weeks ago, and want to plan when to put down our fall fertilizer, but remember vaguely you are supposed to wait x number of weeks to do it. does anybody know offhand? also, is there a certain temp the weather is supposed to be for fall fertilizer?

If you overseeded a few weeks ago,go right ahead and put down the fert.
Use a slow release fall/winter fert without any weed preventer. The temperature does not really matter unless you expect a real hot 90's ish weather in a few days. Be sure to water in well.

I don't fertilize...make the friggen grass grow and then I gotta mow it.
