I have notice in the recent navigator, that there is late night activities/entertainment going on.

Is the ship noise?

Want to have alot of fun on this cruise, 10 anniv. for us.

However, with everything going on during the day activities and shore excursions. We will be too tried.

How does one do it all?

Naps/pick and choose I guess.

What are the best activities/entertainment to do on the ship?
1- port days
2-days at sea

We Have traveling DH, DW, DS(7), DGM.

Bingo-is there a charge, is it worth it?

Thanks
Linda

Nah, it's not noisey if you mean while in your stateroom.

You will probably be tired if you're used to going to bed early

however, you can adjust by taking naps or like you said, pick & choose. I must admit after 3 cruises, I still haven't done everything.

During port days the ship is somewhat slow. The activities are limited. During the sea days there is a lot more to do. One thing my dh & I both enjoyed tremendously is the Navigator Series - the tours and information about the ship.

Bingo is worth it if you enjoy giving your $$ to fellow passengers. :teeth: Seriously, we do enjoy it when the cm is entertaining. (I miss Robin :( ) Sometimes you get lucky and get a comedy team - then Bingo becomes second place to the comedy act.

You are right there IS a lot going on and as trishy stated there are more activities planned for sea days than for port days. I totally stressed when we missed a few things because we opted to nap. After the first day I settled down and realized I didn't HAVE to do everything! :) I went to the activites I really wanted to go to some of the time, napped when I was tired, and danced the night away when I wanted. It's holiday! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Bingo was really fun. DH and I only played on the last day. It was a bit pricey, ($60 for both of us, 5 games I believe.), we didn't win, but we had fun!

On the 7 night cruises we try to go to every one of the theme nights and late night clubs. The theme nights do not ususally get started till almost 11:00. I have never gone to bed earlier than 1:00 am on our cruises..just having too much fun. I always try to take a nap in the afternoon so I have the energy to keep going at night....either I nap by the pool, on Deck 4 in those so comfy deck loungers or the cabin.

I laughed when I saw the subject line - kids or adults???????

My kids kept me up - I saw an 11:30 pm show and still had to wait until 1 am to drag the kids from the clubs!
yes, gotta nap! I don't think the kids ever did though,
I was never so tired as the last morning after staying up so late and getting off the boat (and we had second dinner seating too) so early (OK, it was 9 am but still, up early to empty the room)

I'm usually too exhausted after dinner and we end up asleep around midnight. Wish I had more energy to make it a late night, but :(

We're early birds, though...we're up early taking advantage of the morning.

We were in bed early every night. I never heard any noise from shipboard activites though. It was very quiet around the ship at about 5 am when I got up. (Which could be why I was always asleep at night before the parties started!)

The only time I ever saw the clubs in the evening was when the kids had a lab event in one of them....a neon/glow in the dark dance party that we peeked in on.

I was reflecting :scratchin on this quite a bit today since my original reply, wondering why at the young age of 28 I am so exhausted during cruises and can't seem to stay awake for the nightlife pirate:.

A couple of things occurred to me:

1 - Shore excursions :boat: take it out of us and wipe us out by late day.

2 - We have the 8:30 dinner seating and I'm always tired after eating.

3 - At home, we're up super-early and in bed around 9/10pm usually -- even on weekends. We have a rough time going against our normal schedule even when on vacation. I get tired so fast!!!

4 - Cruising can be so relaxing that it makes me even sleepier! The rocking motion :goodvibes of the ship is SO relaxing -- ahhhh, I love it.

5 - We're still newlyweds :bride: :groom: -- we've only been married a couple years! :lovestruc

Okay -- I'm going to take a nap now...thanks for listening!

Since the teenaged DDs are happy without us, we love to stay out late and enjoy the cabaret and adult theme nights. Bingo is a MUST for us. You do have to pace yourself. The best bet is to sleep late and rest on deck in the afternoons. Enjoy!!!

everytime i go on a cruise i tell myself i'm going to take it easy, get up late, relax during the day and just basically chill out., but it never happens, i usually get up early to walk around the ship and enjoy the quiet time, then i promise myself i'll take a nap up on deck 10 while soaking up the sun but i end up watching the people go by then my dd comes and scootes me off to lunch and then maybe to bingo, {i missed robin this past cruise too}, then we take in the art of entertaining, then the rain forrest to "relax", then its time for dinner, then the show, then more shows in the clubs, by now i'm really tired but i push on for the last crawel around the ship before bed and the i'm out like a light. my kids get a kick out of my schedule because at home i'm in bed by 9pm. but its all fun because we only have the magic for so many days, gotta go for it all
