How late can I buy MNSSHP tickets?

We are traveling with our friends to Disney for one night in the Fall and will be staying at BLT and attending MNSSHP with them. Last year, we didn't own DVC so we only received a discount on the tickets for an "advance" purchase (the discount for which was given so long as you purchased the tickets before the night of the party). Now that we own DVC, we want to take advantage of the additional DVC discount for the tickets, but I was wondering if there were any time limits on the discount (i.e., will DVC sell out of discounted tickets, is the discount generally not available after a date certain, etc.). Ideally, I'd like to forego the "FedEx" charge and just pick them up the day of the party...is that even possible?

For events that have a AP/DVC discount, you can purchase up to the day before the event as long as tickets are available. There is no limit to the number of discounted tickets available although members are limited to 8 per event date, per membership.

The official policy for AP/DVC discounted event tickets is supposed to be will call only.
