Day 4 Part 1 - "Knock it off or we'll go to Epcot!" (MGM)

After such a long and exhausting day 3, we slept in until around 8:30. Our plan was MGM, and because we were off to a late start, we decided to skip breakfast in the room and just grab an early lunch at the park. When we arrived, I grabbed some shots as we headed straight for the Studios Catering Company...

...only to find that it didn't open until 11:30. We were starving, so we found a pretzel vendor and used some snack credits. We found a nice table to sit at and people watch while we ate. While we were eating we overheard a parent yelling at their child, and heard the best Disney threat EVER...

"Knock it off or we'll go to Epcot!"

Hilarious!

After finishing our snack, we headed for the backlot tour...

awww man you guys SUCK!!!! But I'm happy for you!:lmao:

But if I'm to live vicariously through your trips, you have to promise me that you'll get the reportS done so I can!

and you have to say hi to Tigger at CP for me;)

and yes, the news deserves this:

I'll have Lease give Tigger an extra hug for you...

Also, how about a few more?

Impressive additional trip. Have fun (and I'm guessing you wound up liking Pop if you're going back there!)

I really wanted to go back to POFQ or even do a split stay at the Swan/Dolphin, but the expense just wouldn't make sense for us, especially since we spend so little time at the hotel. I did warm up to Pop by the end of our last trip, though, and this time we will be requesting specific room numbers to have something nearer to the parking lot and not facing a pool, which will help.

Great pics, as usual, Code! And I see that you are going to make the ToT DIS meet this year (otherwise known, as the reunion meet) - you'll have a great time, and they are a great group. That gives me an idea - further discussion to follow - heh, heh, heh!

?????

I just found this thread and have just finished reading it. It's a great report. Your pictures are wonderful. I almost feel like I'm there.

I have a trip planned for the same time in September. We'll be at Pop from 9/10-9/14 and looking at your ADR's, we're actually dining at the same places on the 10th and the 14th. Maybe we'll see each other.

Looking forward to reading more! :surfweb:

Welcome and thanks for the compliments :) We are at Boma on the 10th at 5pm and Crystal Palace on the 14th at 8:10am. Any overlap?

You lucky duckies! Another trip!!!!

Great pics as usual Code!

:goodvibes

Great stuff! I'd like to see some POP pics if you have them? Which building did you guys stay in?

We were in building 5, third floor right in front of the kiddie pool.

I haven't processed most of our January pics yet but how about a sneak peek?

Taken from the nowhere side of the bridge to nowhere. This resort would be very cool if both sides of the lake were developed...

Day 4 Part 2 - Lights Motors Action!

After Muppets, we headed for the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show. The wait was sort of long, but thankfully shaded. Not much else to say in this update, on with the photos!...

Hi Code and Lease, nice to see the updates! I have been absent for a bit, but I am so glad to come back to your lovely photos! Your Fantasmic pics were awesome Code and so were the LMA photos. Two things we missed on our last trip ( and our first trip to), but they are a must next time.

I am so happy for you two and your planned return trip this September. That is awesome news! I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy every second. These memories and your beautiful photos will hold you for a long time!!

I was happy to read your report on Boma. We went for the first time in January and it was a hit! Great decor, awesome atmosphere and really good food. I am notoriously picky, but I vowed to try some curry and other spicy foods. I am so happy that I did. We will go back to Boma some day.

Your pics of Pop were great Code. If we ever get back to the world I think w we will stay there. Your night time shots are super. Thanks so much for sharing them.

I hope Lease is doing well now...

I'm doing much better now, thank you for the concern. I've been busy with work and getting back to where I was running pre-surgery. My wonderful DH got me a Cricut for my birthday  So I'm spending a lot more time in my craft room playing with my new toy and figuring out how it can be used to enrich the next WDW vacation :wizard:

Great updates you guys!

Best threat ever "Knock it off or we'll go to Epcot!"

Love that! :lmao:

The pics are amazing as usual.....love the ones with little green army men!

I am glad to hear you are doing better now Lease. Especially now that the good weather is here!!

Can I ask, what is a Cricut and what do you use it for?

May I also ask a personal question? If you would rather I mind my own business, no problem. Code mentioned at the very begining that you had recently lost a lot of weight. I was wondering if you would mind sharing how you did this and what you do to keep it off now. I have my own struggles in this area and any way I can get motivation is worth it.

Have a great day!

Suz

Pl'mama, a Cricut is a die cut machine. It is more or less a fancy paper cutter used for scrapbooking and other crafts. You can cut out all kinds of things with it depending on the cartridges in it. There are a ton of examples on the Scrapbooking thread if you are interested :)

Oh and sent you a PM :thumbsup2

I call this one "Oh God! Oh god! Oh god!"

Awesome pictures and i think i forgot to comment on the POP pics you posted (maybe i didn't i cant keep track anymore lol) but theyre great!! Did you pay preferred? If you did good because thats the reason that I paid preferred and requested 60s, an exciting area like that!

I remember you telling that story - I think I've probably passed it on to a couple Disney-appreciating friends by now .... it's STILL absolutely hilarious!:lmao:

good plan. I'm sure Tigger misses me ....

We can neither confirm nor deny that we may or may not have evil plans that will require your assistance.

I saw you post about it over on the scrapboards ( I lurk there from time to time ) I'm working on saving up for my own Cricut E and will hopefully have it by summer, but I have to confess that I already bought the 2 princess carts and the mickey and friends cart on Black Friday ... :rolleyes1 If you haven't yet, go to the message boards on the Cricut site - SO many great ideas!

Love the Cricut! I've spent a fair amount of time on their boards. It's good that you have started your cart collection early, but it must be somewhat like torture. Having them and not being able to really play. I have Mickey and Friends and Dreams Come True (the one with Belle). Needless to say, we will have window and door decorations not to mention homemade LGMHs. I keep eyeing the new Pooh carts and considering it, since we'll have had two meals with Pooh and Friends and they are almost required to finish scrabooking the trips...Code will buy that right? :rolleyes1

I haven't even let myself open them to thumb through the books. I think that would make it even worse ... and yes, the Pooh cartridge is a must. It's on my list and I believe that you need it too. You can tell Code I said so! :rotfl: I just can't wait to get my hands on it eventually :) and at that point you'll be a total pro so I can bug you with all my problems :goodvibes
