I have about 11 skorts I wear all summer long but they do get worn out and these look so comfy and tempting to me.thanks. I buy skorts at Macy's but those are cute and I cna wear them to work. hmmm
Yes, majority are quilted fabric. There are also more expensive leather bags, but I don't have one of those. Also, some of the fabrics are much stiffer than others. The two solid colors are the stiffer ones. The only ones I paid full price for, was the little pink one, and Mickey one, and that was with a gift card, so I only paid a few dollars of my own. The Fanfare, Marrrakesh and Cheery Blossoms were about $34 each. I don't think that's too unreasonable. I have had no problems with the quality or construction of the bags. Since I use them all the time, it makes the cost per wear very low.
I don't think you're necessarily in the minority. Actually most people I know, don't like them. Lol. Not even sure why they grew on me.![]()
@MrsTurnerLovesDisney - I've seen them in the luggage departments at Target and Walmart, but the selection isn't that great. I am a big fan of the sets that IKEA sells, if you have a location near you.
Do you use your mickey bag outside of Disney? Looking to buy one for my upcoming trip. Usually like simple looking bags that go with everything, but am considering a Vera bag. Either one with mickey or just a regular type of fabric. But am wondering if I'll still like to use the mickey one when not at Disney.
I just ordered a pair each of Vionic and Chaco sandals. I'm telling myself I can only keep one pair. We'll see how that works out.Have you tried Chaco sandals? I have super crazy high arches too and these are AMAZING sandals for support!!
Good luck. I ordered a pair of Chacos, a pair of Keens, and a pair of Columbia sandals, just planning to keep one. Um, yeah. Kept all three. *sigh*I just ordered a pair each of Vionic and Chaco sandals. I'm telling myself I can only keep one pair. We'll see how that works out.

Omg. Ok. I've been reading this thread cuz it's fun, and there's been so much talk about the SparkleSkirts. I've been seeing them at the expos for years, but really only noticing the glitter/sequin ones, which to me are cute for Disney races, but I'd never spend that for a "costume". So anyway, we were waiting out a rain delay at DD's softball game and I just surfed over there for some random reason. Did I say "omg???" I just bought three freaking skirts.
Let me defend myself for half a second. This May will be the 10 year anniversary of my first race. I've done two half in April, have another one in November, and three 10Ks already planned. I carry all kinds of junk when I run, so I'm always looking for clothes with pockets. I'm treating myself to a new skirt!!! I have no excuse whatsoever for the other two.
Good. GRIEF.
MATCHING. Sundresses. Thanks for the laugh. I was wondering if my trusty old sneakers would do the trick - I mean, they were good for climbing pyramids in Cozumel in the dead heat of Agust last year. As for matching T-shirts, I think my husband would rather wear a sundress, slathered up in Body Glide.![]()
I think the only thing I have fallen for is the Chacos. They felt like way too much support for this flip flop loving girl! However, I have been getting use to them and figured I would try them next week at Disney. Had Jazzfest on Saturday here in New Orleans and my strap broke while I was walking! Then I got horrible blisters because we were walking in water . So disappointed. They were way to expensive for that!
I have been using packing cubes for a few years and love them. I even packed with those in a carry on for ten days in Scotland. I was so proud.
