I will be leaving very soon and I already made and paid for our ressie in February! I just wanted to know how it is as I heard the menu has changed to a fixed menu and there is some entertainment and gifts.
Thanks!

We have Reservations at CRT also, just for my DD sake. I admit it I am a picky eater, and the menu does not sound good to me, especially "lemon ice cream". Yuck!
LOL :rotfl:

We were there a few months ago and enjoyed dinner very much! I had the blt salad, the pork loin with cheese casserole and the rasberry sorbet for dessert(lots of fresh berries). It was wonderful. we also were there during Wishes and it was so beautiful. Have a wonderful meal.

I was there in May and had the Corn and Crab soup (yum) the prime rib (good) and instead of potatoes asked for a 'side salad' and got the first course salad...Yum.

Dessert didn't wow but WISHES was spectacular from inside and service was exceptional

I read they take pictures and give gifts. Is this true?

For dinner at CRT, it is my understanding that you receive a photo package taken with Cinderella and a lithograph. The other "gifts" like swords etc are NOT given at dinner. This is my understanding-others please correct me if I am wrong.;) We have first time ressies at CRT for our August trip.:)

We were just at CRT in May for a late lunch and it was probably the best experience we had during our entire trip (that, and the specialty cruise on The Breathless for Illuminations)!

Anyway. The food was AWESOMELY GOOD. I didn't know about the photo packages prior to our going there, so that was a very nice surprise. We have three daughters, and they all received a princess wand and a blinking wishing star at the table. Someone led all the kids in a wish-upon-a-star thing while we were seated at the table. (Say a wish to your self and the lights blinked, or something like that. It was cute.)

I wish I could go back there tomorrow! It was great!

I went to the Cinderella's Royal Table dinner in March and was VERY disappointed. My daughter saw Cinderella for about 2 minutes before dinner in the lobby and took her picture and that was it. We did not see her again. The Fairy Godmother and Mice did a "show" during dinner that lasted about 5 minutes in the center of the room which we could not see at all from our table. The food was good, but the experience was lacking. We have been to just about every character dining experience and this was, by far, the worst of them all. We did get a nice picture and lithograph at the end, but it was definately not worth the money. You can take your children to the character tent in toon town for free and meet Cinderella and have a more personal experience. Stick to the breakfast or lunch--cheaper but more enjoyable---and take your own pics. My 5 year old daughter, who normally loves the character meals, was bored out of her mind and could not wait to leave.

But the dinner at CRT is not classified as character dining... It sounds like you may have been better off with breakfast or lunch which are. :confused3

Well, according to the Disney website under "plan your vacation" it is. If you click on "character dining" at Magic Kingdom, it is the second one listed. Most people book it for the Cinderella experience--not primarily for the food.

That's too bad it's listed as "character dining" there when it probably shouldn't be.

On the dining guide only the breakfast and lunch are listed as such.

I've been to the breakfast and lunch at the castle and they both blew away the dinner as far as the character interaction. My daughter can't even recall going to the dinner that was in March, but she sure remembers "Chef Mickey," "Liberty Tree Tavern," and the "CRT breakfast from last September's trip to Disney. If you are going for the food at CRT dinner, then enjoy. If you are going for the character interaction, there is VERY little to look forward to at the dinner. Breakfast and lunch at CRT are much better in the character interaction for less money.

My boys are teenagers so I'm not going to CRT to be able to meet characters. You mention pictures and a lithograph, I hope these are included in the price I paid and aren't extra.

Then you should definately enjoy your meal. The food was good and the service excellent. I had the BLT Salad (wonderful), Grilled pork Tenderloin (very good), and the Blueberry buckle (heavenly). My husband had the Spring Roll, Salmon, and Chocolate Mousse which he also thought was very good. The pics and lithographs are included in the price. Suggestion-ask if they have a bag to carry it in if you don't have one already, or ask if they can ship it to your room. The lithographs come in very large round tubes and you don't want to have to carry them for the rest of the day like we did. We finally ended up just asking a cast member at a store if we could have a bag to carry it in. I hope that you enjoy!!

I didn't receive a lithograph when we were there in May. Can someone describe it to me?

Thanks!

Thanks for that heads up on the size of that lithograph because I agree, I don't want to have to carry it around all day. You mentioned you carried it, will they ship it to your hotel?

We are also going to CRT for the experience of eating in the castle, not for the characters. Therefore, we booked dinner as well.. Of our party of nine, only my 5 yo granddaughter wants to meet the princesses. And my 9 yo son politely yet adamently made it clear he did not want a "princess meal." :teeth:

As for the photo package and the lithograph-yes, they are included in the price for dinner. Have a great adventure!

We experienced CRT in May of 2006.As a family group of 10 we enjoyed CRT. Ages 12 to 65. I think between the 10 of us we tried everything on the menue and everything was very good. Characters were a bonus. We were not there for the character experience. We wanted to be "in" the castle. We happened to be there during wishes - which was a wow!! for us. We all feel its worth doing once!
