How is it people still don't know about DVC???

I remember when we went in '95, we bought a package from a travel agent for a week. It included a rental car, airline tickets, LOS passes, and a stay at the Caribbean Beach. It cost us $3500.

We happened to walk by a kiosk at Epcot and saw the pics of the rooms of OKW. Plus the view of the golf course. My husband went ga-ga!! We didn't know anything about timeshares, and were leary about it because we had heard other people getting ripped off by other timeshares.

The next morning they came to get us at the Caribbean and we sat through the presentation over at OKW. We also toured the units. Large accomodations with kitchen and laundry facility, a balcony, jacuzzi tub in the master bath. We were impressed! We were also offered the LOS tickets until the year 2000. Wow, we had 5 years of free passes! So, we definitely bought in!

It was the best "investment" we ever made! For the trips we have taken, it has paid for itself already. And we have 40 more years to enjoy it.

It is very weird to talk to people that don't understand DVC. It's like, where have they been hiding, under a rock? lol But then again, I realize there are people out there that are not as obsessed as we are about Disney!

We enjoyed the flexibility to plan our vacation and would like to enjoy both Asia and Europe once a year. Actually, never thought about getting to WDW every year, but it always happens. However, since I'm a Starwood Gold, I needed the stays and the nights to maintain my status. Therefore, have always found Swan and Dolphin to be the right place for us. Furthermore, just was not excited about buying a timeshare. But was I wrong about Disney timeshare. I rave about at work, with family, and friends. Can't wait until SS opens up in 2004!
