We had to cancel our WDW this year but I'm still not giving up on going to Orlando this year. I was thinking about 10-9 thru 10-13. How crowded is it? Also DH would like to go to the Halloween night, would that be too scary for DD7? Or should we sneak out one night and do the MNSSHP? We were planning to stay onsite @ US/IOA. Any Thoughts?????

We did Columbus Day week last year, and our dates are 10/9 - 10/14 this year. It will be above average crowds due to HHN. During the day, it should be normal crowds, picking up closer to park closing as folks filter in for Stay and Scream. The on-site hotels will be above average occupancy due to HHN as well.

HHN is not, repeat NOT, appropriate for your 7-year-old. It is no MNSSHP by any means. It is a PG13 rated event and will be too intense for your little one. Opt for a night at MNSSHP instead. And, don't worry, HHN doesn't start till the early evening hours; you shouldn't see much during the day, except for some props that they'll have set up.

October is a beautiful time to go. We love the weather.
