I found decent airfare out of PHL to MCO on Airtran for June ($176.50 per person). I was able to get the exact times I want on my dates. I have only ever flown USAirways and Delta before. Was wondering if their are any positive experiences on Airtran before I go ahead and book this flight.

Thanks in advance.

Last year I flew Airtran for the first time and was quite impressed. I flew from Philly to Houston and would not hesitate to fly them again.

I have flown AirTran quite a few times with no problems. I would go ahead and book the ticket.

We flew Airtran last year and would not hesitate to fly with them again. We got a better rate from our Yahoo site. Otherwise, we would have booked with Airtran. You won't encounter any problems. Go ahead and book with them.

p.s. Forgot to add that after we booked with them, we received in the mail coupons for free drinks for both of us. My DH only used one but we thought it was a nice touch. Don't know if they still do this but just wanted to let you know. Also, checking in on line is super easy and saved us a lot of time when we got to the airport.

I've always flown USAir but switched to Air Tran for this trip. The flight down yesterday was great! I paid $135 per ticket! Couldn't pass that up!

We've had the opportunity to fly AirTran a couple of times this year & would do so again in a heartbeat.

Another positive vote for AirTran. Newer planes and very friendly customer service agents. I have used them and will use them again.
ps....love their on-line check in and boarding pass printing.....easy to use.

Thanks for all the positive reviews.

I went ahead and booked them for our June trip. Got $176 pp roundtrip from PHL to MCO. We had very specific times that we had to fly due to family travelling with us and a gazillion different schedules. I was able to get the exact times I needed, so I am pretty happy with the price. Plus, now I don't have to worry about it for months on end.

Hopefully, everything goes smoothly.

I didn't realize that you were booking flights for so far out. Let me add that when we did this they changed the flight times both leaving and returning. They were major changes.....earlier leaving which was fine since you then have more time at Disney. The return flight to Philly was changed by a couple of hours or so. I noticed the time changes on their schedule and much later got an e-mail from AirTran about the changes. The e-mail stated that if we had a problem with the new times to call them and they would accommodate us. We just stuck with what we had, but I believe that if the airlines make major changes they waive their fee to cancel and rebook.

It is great to hear the positive reviews. We'll be flying Airtran for the first time (PHL to MCO) this January.

our flights with Airtran we fine !
however the customer service before the trip was stinky ! we booked 6 months in advance and they made 4 changes which i had to call on -- i got only 1 e-mail stating there was a change so i just keep checking my flights -- that got old fast ... and they dropped prices and would not give me a credit.. best of luck I am not sure i would use them again for a trip far in advance Michelle

If you are near Harrisburg, Transmeridian flys direct to Sanford from there. I just got 4 round trip tickets from 12/21 departure from Harrisburg to 12/30 for $646. Thats an excellent rate being its this close to departure. I was one of the ones affected by Southeasts cessation last week. I feel I was pretty lucky since it will be about 60 days til I see my money for the tickets.

I love nonstop flights....no layovers and I am in Florida in about 2 1/2 hours :)

If it works for you--check them out: www.iflytma.com

Any questions-just ask.

We flew AirTran back in April and it was great. On time and wonderful service. They did change our departure time on us but it was no big deal. One thing that did happen with us is that we got our seating arrangements for both down and back at the time that we booked. We booked our flights on Dec. 11, 2003 for our WDW vacation on April 18, 2004. I don't know how or why, but they gave us our seating arrangements. From everything that I know and have read, you have to go online 24 hours before to get your seating arrangements. Anyways, that was one less thing that I had to worry about the day before we left.
