I am leaving for disney in three days but I dont know how intense some of the rides even though it may be my 11th time there I have still not been on:

Space Mountain
Rockin Roller Coaster
Tower of terror
Thunder mountain:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc ::MickeyMo

HOW INTENSE ARE THEY!!!

OK, this is coming from someone who loves thrill rides (check my tag):

Space Mountain: Very rough, jerky, but fun

Rock 'n Roller Coaster: More intense though much smoother than SM, no drops, 3 inversions, 0-60 in 2 seconds take off, but a whole lot of fun with an awesome soundtrack.

Tower of Terror: I really don't consider it that intense, but you do feel like a human yo-yo and get A LOT of airtime. Me, I like feeling like a human yo-yo and I live for airtime.

Big Thunder: Not intense at all, just plain fun.

IMHO

Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain are in a totally different intensity place than TOT and RNRC. My DS (6) loved them both. They are wonderfully themed "roller coaster type" rides, but not thrill rides.

RNRC is a FABULOUS roller coaster with great effects. It is also a very SMOOOOTH ride - no bouncing you around so you get a headache. Certainly a thrill ride and a pleasure.

TOT is intense and whether you'll love it has to do with how you feel about that "losing your stomach" feeling of falling. It also has some really nice theming prior to the big drop. I love it.

Certainly all worth trying at least once!!

I found RNRC to be very rough. I am petite and my head gets quite a work-out bouncing between the shoulder harness! I always leave with the beginning of a bad headache!
I find TOT to be very smooth, love that ride.

OK, I'm a COMPLETE thrill ride weenie. I won't go on a roller coaster outside except Thunder Mountain. I hate drops and the possibility of seeing how high I am/the ground, etc. (nice, huh)

On that note - I won't ride TOT because I hate the dropping feeling. I've been bribed, coerced, blackmailed, you name it by family and friends, still not going.

Space Mountain - LOVE it, there are a couple drops that feel bigger than what I like, but very manageable and tons of fun. (still get a case of butterflies getting on it though)

Thunder Mountain - my favorite! Just an easy fun ride that I don't get butterflies at all riding.

RnRC - I held out riding this for a few years because of my chicken-factor. It took me totally researching it on the web and psyching myself up for a year to get on it. (and I almost left when I saw the launch) I don't think I took a breath that whole first ride but it has become one of my favorite rides there. This is probably the most intense ride I can imagine myself on. (a big bonus is no big drops for me!)

Anyway - hope this helps some. Have fun on your trip!

Okay, I live in the roller coaster capital of the world. Needless to say I have had my fair share of coaster . . . only one I have liked. I am not a coaster person at all! After going to Disney with some friends who wanted to go on RNRC and SM and since mom said the three of us had to stay together no matter what I went on RNRC. That was after they begged me all through lunch and what really won me over was Ross, a waiter at Sci-Fi helping. He knew what happened and would answer my questions, thank goodness. Anyway, I like this ride. There are no really big drops you are just going fast basically. You do go upside down which was a big :earseek: for me. It is not as bad as I thought, it isn't a go upside and stay that was for 10 minutes. It's more of a did I just go upside down kinda feeling. I have never even lost my stomach on this ride. The first time I rode it I did come off with sea legs but other then that I was fine. I wouldn't say it is intence at all.

Space Mountian I went on with one of my friends about a year later. The ride is slightly jerky but if you are scared of big drops then this ride is okay for you. You will have the feeling you are going to go down and way down but it never happens, I promise. She take a deep breath and enjoy. If you are not sure you wanna go on it get onto the TTA a couple times and watch when you go through to see if you can handle it. My dad can't handle the starts flying by so he gets to ride that part of TTA with his eyes closed so I know there will be no way he will ever be able to ride SM.

Just remember there are people screaming in there, so if you think it is to intese at any moment. Close your eyes, tip your head back and scream your heart out. You might have a sore throat but at least you have tried it and know that you like it or don't. If you are unsure about how you liked it ride it again. I know that after I rode it the first time and my knuckles were no longer white at just the thought of it I went back on them and enjoyed them because I knew what was coming and when. Enjoy! :wave2:
