How I Survived 11 Days at WDW with a Disney-Resistant Husband **2/20 THE END **

Loving the TR!! What I don't get is why does your family always want to leave soo early?? :confused3 Especially your SIL she just spent a bunch of money and then left in a couple house?!?!?!?!? I was actually there the same time!! I've might of seen you guys!! Your kids are adorable!! :flower3:

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Tim's too! :woohoo: We always used to go to one whenever we went across the border (the Windsor border is not far from where we live), but we're fortunate to have several around us now! :yay: I never thought about the School Bread being similar to TH's Coconut Cream donut...you're right!

Yep...Tims is definitely invading the US.

I keep waiting to see their signs in Florida. There are SO many Canadians who travel there for vacations, and many of us who live several months of the year there. Even in hot weather, you gotta have your coffee!;)

Still following along & enjoying myself. My oldest son was a part the team that got Tim Horton's started in this part of Ohio. He had to stay in Oakville for 4 months of training. He was responsible for getting stores constructed & set up.

No way! Wow! So are you addicted yet?

Thank you and Welcome!:welcome:

As for your question, I am afraid I will never be able to answer it. I don't get it either.:confused3 Many moments on the trip, I wondered if *I* was the crazy one in the group...everyone in the family would be ready to leave after the 1st hour or so...just as I was getting warmed up. I would just start to get into a groove enjoying myself and they wanted to leave.:sad2:

Small world that we were in the world at the same time...wasn't it hot that week???

I have been reading the past week and am finally all caught up.

I have to say, you are a more patient saint than I could ever be.

I think I would have bought a tazer by now and every time your hubster gave you any grief...he would get a jolt towards my way of thinking!!! ;):lmao:

BTW - your family photos caused me to make a phone call for my wedding next year and we will now have the pleasure of having them at our special day so I owe you a ton!!!! :lovestruc

Oh Dawn!!!! First off, Welcome!:welcome: And secondly, let me tell you how happy I am for you that you were able to book the Roots for your wedding!!!:banana::banana: Where are you getting married???

It is too late for me...I just celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary this week. However, if I could do it all over again, there is no question who I would want to shoot my wedding!!!;)

I just hope they are still shooting if and when my kids get married. Wouldn't that be cool if we could say that the Roots started shooting my kids when they were 5 and 7 years old, and then, 20 years later shot their weddings???

I cannot tell you how professional, classy, and personable these guys are. And of course, their photography talent and originality speaks for itself.

I am sure at the end of the day they will be the vendor you will be most pleased to have booked. You are guaranteed to have the most fabulous photos to look back on for years to come.

Just to give you a sense of how awesome they are, here is a photo of Nathan with my son:

Bear in mind, I am pretty sure Nathan shoots with a 5D Mark II (which retails for close to $3,000), and I am sure the lense is probably a couple thousand on top of that. This camera is his livelihood. And I get nervous to have my kids touch my crappy camera.:rotfl2:

I am already so excited to see your photos on the Roots blog!!!:yay:

No way! Our anniversary was this week too - the 17th, it was our 19th anniversary though. What day was yours?

This must be the week for anniversaries! DH and I celebrated our 12th last Sunday (the 15th)!!!! Congrats to both of you on many wonderful years with the one you love!

Congrats to both of you on many wonderful years with the one you love!

Congratulations to you too!!

The 17th!!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Michelle - can we possibly have more in common???!!!!:rotfl:

That is too funny, when I read your post about your anniversary I thought, surely it won't be the same day - yet it was!

It really is a little eerie how many things we have in common isn't it?

Sorry for the lack of updates....I apologize that I have not been on here much. I really wanted to get an update up this evening, but I was on the soccor field for most of the evening with the kids, and will be on the field again tomorrow literally all day, starting at 8:30am.

However, I will definitely get at least 1 or hopefully 2 updates up before the weekend is over.

In the meantime, I have a funny story to share about Chris. He is in Chicago tonite, and if you happened to be in the American Girl store earlier this evening you may have seen him. ;) I have been in the NY, LA, and Atlanta stores a couple times, but this was Chris' first visit to any AG store.

He called me 3 times on the soccor field from the store. He kept saying "This place is crazy", but I could tell he was really enjoying it. Of course he bought a ton of stuff for Katie (all for Christmas, except the "Me & Dad" book he wants to give her right away). He said he saw the doll hospital (although I wonder if he got that right - I didn't see a hospital in any of the other stores - I thought the hospital was in the factory), the Salon, and the Restaurant/Cafe.

When he got back to his hotel, he called us a 4th time to confirm that he had entered a contest at the Hotel to win the Laney AG Doll, and also wanted me to know that when I finally take Katie to the AG store (I have been promising for the last year or so), we can't go without him.

If only his enthusiasm for the American Girl brand could translate over to Disney!:rotfl:

Oh my word!! He'l go crazy over a store full of dolls and accerssories but can't get excited about an oversized talking mouse???!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just caught up with your trip report and I must say you are a SAINT!!

I would never have that much patience with my family.

Your kids are adorable

WOW! We love, love, love American Girl here! We have never made it to a store, but are hoping to do so some time this year. I am so excited your husband liked his experience so much! I agree---hopefully he will use some of that for Disney ;)

I know how busy it can get with the kids in soccer and other activities! Take your time, but I can't wait for another update  Hope you are doing well!

That is sooooo funny. My husband and I took our daughter to AG in NY the day after Christmas last year and we had lunch in the cafe. It was my husband's idea. It was hilarious to see a big strong man drinking from those tiny teacups in a room that could not be more girly. He even played along and "fed" her doll that was seated at the table with us. Don't you love Dads who adore their baby girls enough to do something like that!:)

That is so funny:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: We need to get him to have the same excitement for Mickey Mouse that he does for AG!!!:thumbsup2

That is hysterical that Chris enjoyed the AG store so much!! Clearly loves his little girl very much!

Nothing like the relationship between a daughter and her daddy.....they'll move mountains for them won't they:hug: ..or spend time in an AG store....great update!

Believe me...much of the patience was self-interest based. I simply wanted to have the very best vacation that I could in the circumstances. ;)

We are currently home for a 1 1/2 hour break between the games to cool off. We were on the field for 5 hours already starting at 8:30am. And it is SO, SO HOT!!!!

We are literally just heading out the door for the next game now! The kids are playing really, really well! I am so proud of them. They have each come so far in the course of the summer.

I have to admit I was secretly thinking that I was going to be pretty tired of sitting on the sidelines all day...but I am really enjoying it. Lots of good teams, strong play, and great sportsmanship. It has been an excellent tournament experience for the kids, and Declan still has 2 games to go right up until 5:30pm tonite!

As for Chris and the AG store - I am both thrilled, and a little shocked that he seemed to enjoy it so much. Up until yesterday the plan was the Katie & I were going to go up for a nite or two, hit the store, and then see the Rockettes Christmas show as a little girls outing. Now we are going to plan it around when Chris will be in NY for work so that he can come along too. (Plus we can take advantage of his free hotel room in Manhattan!;))

I know! If only I knew how to do that!:rotfl:

Absolutely no doubt there!;) I have a very funny picture to post later on in the TR that will also bring that one home!;)

You are so right Queenie!!;)

Yikes....I have 20 mins to get to the soccor field...but I still haven't cooled off yet! Gotta run!

I think you are going at the Disney vacation from the wrong angle. You need to get DD to beg her Daddy to take her to Disney World and then give him the sad face everytime he is ready to bolt for the exit. :cutie: :rotfl:
