How hard would it be to get OKW in summer?

specifically the last week of August? arriving on Aug 26 and leaving on Aug 30, 2007?

we want to 'treat' my brother and his family after our cruise - thinking a grand villa at OKw would be best but not sure if it would be easy enough to get with that not being my home resort.

I'm not sure how hard it would be in August to get a Grand Villa at OKW. I tried to book one last week for June 3-8 and it wasn't available. Keeping my fingers crossed for the wait-list to go through! Good Luck!!

Grand Villas are difficult to get anytime of year if not reserving 11 months out (and even then you should probably do day by day reserving). They do come open (cancellations) at other times but it is luck of the draw.

Otherwise, you will likely find availability at 7 months out for 2BR or less.

OKW is our home resort and we've booked a GV twice, both times for May near Memorial Day without much trouble. Late August is not a very busy time, so you may get lucky. In any case, a 2-bedroom villa is quite large and may also suit your needs. It certainly is worth a try.

for that time period you may be able to get one.

I always admire families who can get along.... with mind it is better to be apart.

I agree with you, Spicey! I have a 2-bedroom and a studio booked for Jan. I gave some thought to a grand villa--but then recalled vacations past. No grand villa for us!

We sure are lucky that way - now if it was my mother coming with us instead of my bro, sil, dniece and sil's mom it would be a different story. We are spending the week before on a western carribean cruise and I know if we get sick of eachother we will just go our separate ways.
After looking at the rooms some more a 2 bedroom and a studio would probably do us if necessary. We are staying in a 2 bedroom at OKW in 25 more sleeps so we'll know if it'll do us all after that

GV are expensive...just stick with a 2BRD and it will be easy to pick one up at the 7 month window.
