...to be warm in April? We live near Cleveland, OH and it's been too durn cold here this winter. I'd love to go to FL the week after Easter but 4 days in the car for 4 days in FL is kind of a long drive. So, how's NC or SC in April? We could make that in a day. I know the ocean will be cold but I'm just longing for warm sunshine on my skin and the kids want to swim in a nice warm outdoor pool. What do my DIS friends suggest for this frozen Ohio'ian???

Oh yeah, we need budget friendly, the hospital bills will be rolling in by then....:faint:

You don't want to vacation here......but in Mississippi we are laying out by April! I can't wait to get my pool ready!

Pembo,

Can I join you??? I am freezing my pattootie off here. Since it melted it is damp and cold and I can't get warm. I made Tim buy me a space heater last night so I can run it when I am on the computer and not have to wear sweat shirts and a fleece robe. Now I don't need gloves to keyboard. My little corner is really chilly at night.

We can make it to Fla in 20 hours if we share the driving. :hyper: I am ready anytime. CALL ME. :moped:

I've been wondering all winter how far South I need to move to not be cold.:cold:

"Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina..." in April :flower3: . If you like 72 degrees, low humidity, and crystal blue skies c'mon down. May I suggest a tour of the mountains via the Blue Ridge Parkway, teher is no charge for looking at the flowers :drive: . Then head over to the central part of the state and spend a day on the campus of Duke University on Durham. The Duke Gardens are spectacular in the spring. You just might see me hanging around on a lazy Sunday afternoon. :) While there visit the Eno River State Park and hike along the riverbank. Best thing about all these? They're all free! :cool1:

I have no help for you, but am another person who is Cold in Cleveland.

It's snowing right now. Blech.

I was in Lakewood on Sunday and there was just about NO SNOW there. It never flippin snows over there. Grr.

Two more months, though. We can make it through two more months!! :)

We'll be in Hilton Head and Savannah March 17-24...the average temp in March is 67 which is perfect for me.

I USED to be cold in Cleveland.

Now I'm cold in VA ('course, it's not April yet) but still warmer than Cleveland!:teeth:

We usually don't get much below 30 in the winter. :cool1:

I spent a lot of time in HS hanging out at Eno River State Park and Duke Gardens. :wave2: What a small world.

NC in April is incredible. You get a terrible case of Spring Fever, believe me. I wouldn't say it is swimming or laying by the pool weather. But it is nice warm stroll, sitting in the sunshine kind of weather.

I am freezing up here in VT today. I think the temperature just hit 0. I am going to have to put on my gloves INSIDE in a few minutes.

It's generally very warm in TN in April as well....next weekend it's supposed to be 80!!

We go to Hilton Head every April and the weather can be unpredictable! Sometimes it's 50-60 and raining, sometimes we have 70-80 and sunny. Nice to be on the beach but the water (pool or ocean) is too cold for me. How about Georgia?

Georgia is pretty warm too. It's suppose to be 70 today but April it's usually around 75-80.

I've been in Charlotte since last April. When I first got here, it was pretty nice, but you could also very easily end up with massive thunderstorms and cooler weather.

Actually, the weather here is really weird. I played golf several times in November and January when it got up to 70 degrees. On the other hand, there was also a stretch of several days when the high temp never got over freezing.
