How far out can u book?

Does anybody know how far out u can book an Adventures by Disney trip out?

You can book as soon as the schedule comes out for the following year. The 2014 itineraries came out in May, so you can book those now. If you're looking for 2015 there is good chance the schedule will come out in May, 2014, since the trips have been released in May for the last couple of years. Prior to that ABD released the new trips in August.

If you are interested in the Cambodia trip you can book that as far out as April of 2015.

I am going to Italy in Sept of 2014. So that is over a year away. it just depends on the released dates.

How far out do people generally book? We're thinking about a June 2014 trip, is this like a DCL cruise where people generally book out a year, or do people usually book closer to the date? Do the trips usually sell out?

It varies. Some people will book immediately to be sure & get the lowest price and the date they want.

Some dates for some trips will sell out, but usually not that quickly (the new Scotland trip introduced last year was an exception, and some dates sold out or got very close to selling out within days.) The closer a trip is to selling out, the more the price goes up.

Because the ABD deposit is non-refundable after 14 days, you really need to be sure which trip you want, and which date works for you. (Unlike DCL, where there's really nothing to lose by booking first day, as you can always cancel if you want to, up until Paid in Full day).

I rarely book right when the itineraries come out, but I tend not to wait *too* long to book. I like to start looking at airfare and also make sure I get my dibs on the time off from work.

I think you'll find very few people here wait until the last minute to book. My feeling is that most book around a year out. (And I know DCL folks who will book a year and a half to 2 years out if they can! A year out is nothing!)
