Would summer travel to Orlando be considered like special time for flying? I am worried the flight I like now won't go down any lower $121 each way right now and Baltimore-Orlando is non-stop. Would the 60 day plan be applicable for my dates Mon June 18-Mon 25? I ask because I was thinking about buying this week.
You may be seeing some residual effect from a conference situation. There are two big conventions that week in Orlando, with a total attendance of about 20K.
Quite frankly, however, $240 rt is now a fairly decent fare for flying on Mondays non-stop on that route. It's a popular one that has fairly steady fares most of the time. The days of under-$150 r/t airfares are mostly gone now except on really short major-city hops.
If you want REALLY cheap these days, the only way to do it consistently is watch for fare sales and grab them when they are good; THEN plan the trip. When you decide the dates before you buy the airfare, you are going to be limited in terms of really good bargain hunting opportunities.
