How far in advance can you deposit into onboard credit acct?

After thinking about what we were trying to get going for the ill children, does the limit of deposits that has now been removed (fi I understand this correctly), apply to anyone?

Can we make deposits to our onboard accounts ahead of time? In any amount?

Curious whether anyone else has thought about this, foreseeable problems, if any, and whether it's possible.

The one thing I have wondered about also is IF for some unforseen reason you cancel your trip (unfortunately it does happen) can you retrieve the money from the account?
If so how does that work?

I'm not sure how far in advance you can "buy" onboard credit, but if you cancel you will definitely get it back. Additionally, if you don't spend the entire amount they have to give it back. We put down $2000.00 in onboard credit about a month before sailing this summer on our 7nt cruise and did not spend it all. They gave me the rest in cash when we settled our account.

There may be a way to go directly through your TA (if you are using one) or DCL to add $$ to your account but you can also use the GIFTS AHOY Brochure. I went to INKKOGNITO's site:

and scroll down to the STATEROOM GIFTS Brochure. Allow the whole thing to load and the last picture at the bottom on the right spells out what to do.
