The airline sites are still saying call 2 hrs before departure. But they are now asking us to be at the airport at least 2 hrs ahead. When call we call for a definate schedule? If we call 4 hrs ahead can they change your flight before you arrive?

I asked this same question last week when speaking to a customer service rep at US Air. At the time, I was scheduled on a 8 AM flight (last Friday). She told me they could cancel it any time up until the time of the flight.

I have actually being going on US Air's website for the last few days and checking if flights are leaving to Orlando (from PIT). With the exception of last Friday (tropical storm all flights were cancelled), every flight but one has flown out. In most cases there were no delays over 15 minutes, with the exception of one that left about an hour late. You may want to do the same thing (using your own airport of course.) Hope this helps.

I have found calling the airlines is generally useless anyway. They like to pretend the flight will take off on time until the LAST possible minute unless it is something like a major storm. So I just go out there and figure out what to do then.
