It will be my first time seeing Happily Ever After in August and I want to be as close as possible to the castle! How early do people start staking out their spots? I found a post from these boards but it's from 2017. Do people still wait in front of the castle for 1-2 hours?

Being super close might actually take away from the show. With the projections and fireworks you would prolly wanna be back Abit. Imo don't wait longer than 30 min. If you wait 2 hours and someone tosses a kid in ur view it's going to be a bad time.

I have had no problem getting there about 15 minutes before and being in a perfect spot in the hub. To me, there is no reason to be there an hour before. Maybe 30 minutes if you want to be safe. Unless you are going on a holiday.

I don't recommend being as close to the castle as possible but if you wanted to, those spots don't fill up as early as others towards the back of the hub. I'd say something between 25-30 minutes should be okay for something up front by the castle and 30-45 for a better viewing location further back but still in the hub.

(all depending on how many people, how many kids, etc etc etc)
