Without CP package when would you queue? Our son and his fiancee are planning on going tomorrow night. Anyone have any idea how early they should show up?

We are going tomorrow night with the CP package and a CM told me at to line up at least 30 min ahead of time.

I am not sure about a weeknight but when we were there last Saturday for the 6:45 show, you couldn't get a seat without the package ticket. We had the tickets and still waited in line for 30 minutes for a decent seat!

Thank you both. I'm hoping for them that a THursday night won't be quite as bad as a Saturday night but it doesn't sound very promising.

Does everyone think the earliest show would be the easiest to get a seat?

The middle show is actually the easiest. Most people try for the early show, thinking it'll be least crowded, but that, of course, makes it MORE crowded. The final show is most popular, which leaves us with the middle child. Of course, the one benefit you have with show #1 is that you're not standing in line during the final part of the show before it.

We tried to get in line at 4:30 for the early show on Tuesday, Dec. 7th and the line was so long we weren't even garanteed a seat for the second show! People lined up for the early show 2-3 hours before! The actor who played Jesus in Passion of the Christ, Jim somthing was the narrator so it was extra popular. Since it was our last night there, we didn't get to see the show. Oh well, just another excuse to go next year again!

We were there this past Sat for the 8:15 show....We had Dinner package and still lined up almost 2 hours before hand....The standby line was already down to the next country towards the outpost....It was packed....I would be there well before the start of the show before the one you want to see....

It varies. We were able to get in on Saturday Dec 4 (Kirk Franklin), we only got in line 15 minutes before. We were one of the last to get in. Someone in line said they had 1600 package guests for that show and room for 400 standbys (8:15 show). So the theater holds alot of people. We had the package for Monday Dec 6 (Jim Caviezel) and I noticed it was very crowded.

We just watched the middle show (6:45 pm) on Monday evening, after waiting less than 30 minutes in the stand-by line. We watched the tree lighting from across the lagoon, and then they let us in. We ended up sitting almost in the middle one row behind those people with packages. Some of them had been waiting almost as long as we had!

Thank you all so much.

My son read all your replies and is now off to MCO. I'll report their CP experience.

Really appreciate everyone's help and experiences.
