How Early To Arrive For Shows?

We've always been a ride oriented family meaning we've never even really tried to see any of the shows. This time we'd like to change that and want to see most of the shows. But in trying to make my itinerary, I realized I don't really know how much time to block off for them. We don't care about getting good seats and if we miss a show it won't be that big a deal. I'd rather miss a show than spending 30 minutes waiting for one.

So that said, are there any shows we can't show up to 10 minutes before they start most of the time in DHS or AK? The only shows we aren't trying to see are LMA and Flights of Wonder. We'll be there the 2nd week of December so crowds are mostly 4-6's.

If you don't care about not having great seats you can walk into them probably 5 minutes before. Even the Frozen Sing-a-long shouldn't be a problem last minute. We had an FP for that, but we walked into the Little Mermaid Show literally seconds before it started, and the Disney Jr show just so happened to be starting a few minutes after the Little Mermaid show let out so we walked right in there too. I can't speak for AK, but you should have no issue at DHS.

We have always had luck getting into shows fairly last minute. If it is not an absolute must for you to do them, I would say try it. We usually try for about 15 minutes prior. I know many others have been shut out of them, so really it could just be that we have been lucky.

We also go last minute and have never been shut out of a show. We don't need to be front and center so it works for us.

Thanks guys. This is what I thought, and the impression I got from reading this forum, but I've seen other people say I'll be shut out of Nemo, Lion King, B&B and Frozen if I'm not there at least 20 minutes early.

Is there any pre-show entertainment at Beauty and the Beast at HS now that 4 For a Dollar aren't around?

This may be a dumb question, and I feel like it should be easy to find on Google or something, but maybe I just don't know what to search for.

Can you arrive late to Disney shows? For example if I don't mind missing the first 5 minutes can I slide into the back? Or do they close right when they start? Do all shows work the same way, or are some more flexible than others in admitting late people? I'm going during the off-season (crowd level around 3).

Thanks!

Last week, we had no problem getting into Nemo about 5 minutes before it started. I do agree that you run a risk of being shut out of the other shows you mentioned if you don't get there 20 minutes early.

B & B and Lion King are great shows. Definitely worth getting there a little early for.
