How early do you get to the Airport before your flight?

My DH makes us get to airport at least THREE HOURS before flight. Of course we live about 1-1/2 hours away, so have to plan for traffic delays. However, we usually stay at hotel near airport night before so he doesn't make us crazy. One year flying to DW, when we arrived and went down to baggage claim our bags were not there. We had rented a town car, so driver helped us find them. We got to airport SO early our bags had taken an earlier flight and started the magic before us!

I voted for 1.5 hours, though I can cut it as close as 1 hour. Since Southwest has online check-in and its own section of my home airport(BWI), we can just go through security if we don't have checked baggage. I don't like sitting around, it makes me antsy.

I picked an hour and a half, but it really depends on the airport.

Out of Providence, I usually get there 45 minutes to an hour before my flight. At MCO, I do plan on the 1.5 hours as you just never know how long the security line will be.
