How early do we need to arrive for rope drop at MK?

Going to visit MK July 4th and don't want to miss the opening MK show and the rope drop. Trying to figure out when I should catch the bus at our Disney Resort. Any suggestions on what attractions to hit first with 3 tweens would be much appreciated as well. Thanks!

7AM would not be too early.
Be at the resort bus stop by 6:30-ish.
