I read somewhere that you could make a priority seating dinner ressy and get in early. Is that true. What's the skinny? :earseek:

YOu can use just your party Tix starting at 4:00 and get a wristband. You do not have to have PSs any more to stay in the park.

We were just at MVMCP on 12/3 and were able to enter the Park at 4:00 without any dinner PS. It was awesome!!! I was with 2-13 year old boys who had never been before, along with my 11 year old son. They literally walked on Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain (2x in a row), Splash Mountain (3x) and POC. Once we moved over to Tomorrowland, the wait times were a little longer - 20 minutes for Stitch (which all 3 hated), 15 minutes for Buzz, and about 30 minutes for Space Mountain. Not bad at all considering the Party was sold out!!! They had a blast!!!

Here is everything that "is" avalaible :) The Train does not run during the party, Tom Sawyer Island and the Tree House are closed, but pretty much everything else is avalaible.

Thanks so much for posting all the info! it really helps.

One thing we were wondering.. what type of cookies do they offer? Also, is there any sugar free hot chocolate? I doubt it, but I can always hope. :)

Also keep in mind that from 4pm until the park closes, everything is open! Get there at 4pm and enjoy all those extra hours free.

I was there tonight. Jungle Cruise was not open, Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents, Swiss Family Treehouse, Riverboat, Train. I don't believe any of Mickey's Toon Town was open, I think it was open last year.

The lines at the photo locations were huge. They cut down the number of locations to 2, Tomorrowland and Adventureland. We used to always go back to Small World at the beginning of the party and there was no line. I think they used to have one in Hall of Presidents also.

No buttons this year, a little postcard instead. No Rudolph during the fireworks. They just tacked on the special surround fireworks at the end instead of a special section with holiday music.

Also at the Candlelight Processional, no special program.

Why is Disney cutting back so much?

We received a special program upon entering the Candlelight Processional. A cast member was going down the dinner package line handing them out.

Going on a Tuesday, is the riverboat open or not??? I've never ridden this and thought the party might be a good time.

Also, for the Night before Christmas show - which show time will be better 6:15?, 7:15p or 8:15?

And Belle, would older kids ( 10 and 13) like listening to Belle (they do like princesses).

Whichever time you pick for The Night Before Christmas, arrive EARLY! The first showing is before the 'official' party starting time (ticket says 7-midnight), so it was packed with all of us who were waiting in Tomorrowland for the party to start.

I don't believe the riverboat was running last night and it was not on the park map. When we passed it, they were doing a character greeting on the dock and the boat was parked.

When I was at CP, they were passing out a copy of the Holidays Around the World booklet that was available at the turnstiles. They used to have a program just for CP.

WOW! This is upsetting news to read about MVMCP! I'm so bummed to hear about all these cut backs. I love going to MVMCP and have gone 3 times and was planning to go again for my 40th birthday in 2005. I missed it this year so we could do MNSSHP again. MNSSHP had all the photo places open; there were 4 of them.

I'm just so bummed about this especially the button, the fireworks (and Rudolph) and cutting back the photo locations.

I don't know if it's always this way, since this was only my second MVMCP, but the stage show in front of the castle was the same as last years. Is it always the same? I thought, with it being Disney, there would be something different each year. DH told me I'm getting burnt out on Disney since I'm commenting on things being the same.

I kept asking DH where the pins were this year. The postcard doesn't make up for the pin!

I also noticed little things which aren't being kept up. Viewing screens in cars on Test Track, 'jumping' water in Splash Mountain, and others which I can't remember. Guess it's a sign you've been to WDW too often when you start noticing those things.

But I still love Disney and want to go back!

And to top it off....the postcard has an ADVERTISEMENT for the new Mickey Twice...Christmas video on the back!
