How Early Can you Board?

Any tips for getting to the port and getting your family aboard the Magic? What time should you arrive at the port? How long will it take to accomplish?

Ive been reading that the port opens at 1030am to checkin. Boarding doesnt begin until 1215

We left at 10am from the Holiday Inn Express at Cocoa Beach. It only took about 10 min. to get to the port after looping around several terminal roads in confusion and by the time we passed the checkpoints, and were dropped off, someone was there to check our BC's, etc.. and pointed us up the escalator to the main check-in area to get our KTTW cards. So by 10:20, we were the second family in line to board.
