How does vandalism and looting accomplish anything???

You and my DH would get along great, but I have yet to see the oven's fired up so I think I'll skip the gestapo comparisons myself.
Really? That was that uncalled for. My husband's aunt was in a concentration camp and she lost her entire family in the Holocaust. Joking about 'oven's' used to incinerate people is NEVER okay.

This was a really big guy, from the photos. Let's think logically. Did a police officer (who I am willing to bet is a lot smaller than the suspect) try to physically pull the suspect into the squad car as reported? Come on.

Here is some food for thought. CNN just reported that an officer can shoot a fleeing suspect if certain criteria exist.

The bolded is the key here.

Media reports that the deceased was about to start college. Didn't look like too fine a fellow on the convenience store pics.
Reminds me of the Martin case. All the photos initially showed approximately 12 year old smiling youngster in the news stories, when in fact he was also a tall, but not stocky guy who looked a little more menacing at the age he was when the incident occured.

Very few people in Ferguson care about the truth - they just want the police officer convicted and locked away, guilty or not. And they certainly couldn't care less about the safety of the officer or his family.

"The only good cop is a dead cop" according to graffiti outside a business in Ferguson.

The bolded is total horsepucky. At no point did the protesting crowd number more than 1000 people, and the population of Ferguson is over 21,000. Trust me, there are PLENTY of people in Ferguson who care about the truth. My DH grew up there. Ferguson isn't a slum; it's a quiet blue-collar suburb. Most of the residents have factory jobs or are civil servants of some sort; it is a sea of tidy brick ranch homes where people go to work every day, just like they do in countless other suburbs in America.

The Ferguson looters may be prosecuted, but I doubt it. And I'm betting that if they are, they won't be found guilty.

They have the support of the citizens of Ferguson.

They do not. The citizens of Ferguson mostly hope the looters rot in jail. Most of them were NOT residents of Ferguson (or of Dellwood, where most of the looting actually took place); most of them were opportunist career criminals from other parts of the metro area who saw an opening to perhaps get away with larceny on a grand scale, and they ran with it.

The media's deceiving us again?

Reportedly, the officer received treatment for the injuries he sustained.

But what were those injuries? How did they occur? What was going on when the shooting happened?

Putting out a robbery report and vague statements about the officer being treated for injuries is not even close to putting out the whole story. The most important parts are missing. Did either men stopped even have the stolen carton of cigars?

Is anyone disputing the surveillance video?

I live in a college town and there is no one 'look' to the students.

Just like Zimmerman was a mild mannered pudgy guy while on trial but was an amazingly fit trained kickboxer when he shot Treyvon?

the convenience store clerk was standing in the open doorway telling the cop "there they are". This is a fact.

I don't know it was definitely him from those stills. I'm not about to say it was just because some blurry images were released. Was he wearing those things when shot? Did either have cigars? I don't know

Denial ain't just a river.

CNN interviewed a protester spokesperson, and she said the "alleged" robbery pictures had nothing to do with the fact that the officer shot a man with his arms up in the air in surrender.
What evidence is there of the arms up in surrender except witnesses who may or may not be reliable. This does not make it fact, but the pictures of the perp in the store sure look to be not alleged.

So they robbed the store and then stood outside it until the police showed up?
Link please?

Besides it's all just to distract from the actual shooting which is really what matters.

Denial ain't just a river.

To be fair, shouldn't the deceased have the same clothes as the man on the surveillance footage?

Not denying---I'm just presuming there was little time for a wardrobe change so at a minimum, the outfit should be the same or have some of the same components.

The protesters now say their protests are about the militarization of the area by law enforcement. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
If their were no further protests, there would be no law enforcement buildup.

I ask again, but nobody has answered.
What good is there now to be gained by further demonstrations?

If Michael Brown committed a crime that led to police attempting to apprehend him, it is not a distraction.

If he stole a pack of gum when he was 12--that would be a distraction.

1. Reported on CNN.
2. The crime committed is indeed linked to the shooting, the officer was investigating a robbery, and police reports say he was assaulted and an attempt was made to get his gun away from him.

Just like Zimmerman was a mild mannered pudgy guy while on trial but was an amazingly fit trained kickboxer when he shot Treyvon?

Hmmm...didn't the original photos of Zimmerman depict a big, strong man? Seems like I remember that image, next to the small, defenseless 12 year old. Besides, wasn't it admitted, that the Martin family lawyers, actually orchestrated the deception to the media?
