How does this tentative plan look? Halloween 2018

This trip will be me, dh, dd16 and her boyfriend also 16 and dd11. It will be the fifth family trip for us but the first for our guest. We wanted to try something different this trip as the first three trips we took were in the spring and last one was this past January so wanted to see either Halloween or Christmas decorations and the kids voted to go over Halloween. We want to buy the Canadian discount tickets and buy the four day basic ticket and then get a ticket for MNSSHP and then one for Universal HHN. The kids really want to do the HHN and we have never been to that park only the other universal park back in 2011.

We want to experience all the parks but honestly these kids need lots of time to just sleep in, relax by the pool, stay up late and hang out or it won’t be a fun vacation for anyone. So I am trying to fit a lot in but also leave plenty of unscheduled down time.

This is my rough tentative plan so far, I have to buy the Canadian discount tickets by February 10th so I’m trying to get a rough schedule. We will be staying in a condo with a rental car at Bonnett creek. Thanks for any input.

Say Oct 27 Day one-Travel day
Sun Oct 28Day two-shopping for groceries, swim, MNSSHP
Mon Oct 29 Day three-HS
Tues Oct 30 Day four- swim, Universal Haunted Nights
Wed Oct 31 Day five-swim/shop trick or treating at Fort Wilderness
Thurs Nov 1 Day 6 - Epcot
Friday Nov 2 Day 7-swim/shop Cirque (if new show is open) or dinner show
Saturday Nov 3 Day 8-AK
Sunday Nov 4 Day 9-MK
Mon Nov 5 Day 10-swim/shop, maybe water park, Ohana for dinner
Tues nov 6- travel day

Can you add days to the Canadian discount tickets once at WDW or not? If you can, then it's easy to add a day if you want more park time. If not, then it looks like 4 days of parks (besides MNSSHP and US). I think it looks good for lots of downtime. If they get bored/tired of swimming, etc you can always head to different resorts to check them our or go to Disney Springs or Universal Citywalk for shopping/eating.

Yes you can add days to ticket as well as add hopper and water park if we decide we want to when we are there, that is why for now I think I’ll buy the basic tickets. I think one day at each park plus the two parties and a couple dinners/shoes should be enough but you never know. I doubt we would park hop, we will probably just do each park from about noon- park close

Upon doing more research I don’t think I can upgrade the tickets without losing the discount so whatever tickets I decide on I will have to stick with.
