We are booked for our first ever split stay.

Normally, we like to park the car and not move it until the day we leave.

This year for WDW trip we are trying something new.

We are doing 5 nights at Art of Animation-Lion King Suites.
Then we are moving to the Contemporary with a Theme Park View for 2 nights.

Our total price only went up $280 for our trip as opposed to if we would have stay all 7 nights at the Lion King Suites. We are also missing on out on some free Counter Service Meals.

My daughters(19 & 14) want to see the fireworks but don't want to fight the crowds and they are usually too tired from a day in the parks. We really do a lot at the parks.

So my wife and I have decided to suprise them with this split stay.

We aren't going to tell them ahead a time. The day before we move, we are going to tell them that Disney needs to move us so we need to be packed tonight and we will find out tomorrow where they are moving us...LOL

They will be so excited when we get there.

That sounds like a fun surprise for them! We are also doing our first split stay in May. We have 4 nights booked at the Contemporary followed by 4 at the Grand Floridian. Hopefully this goes smoothly! We are traveling with a 9 yr old and a 23 month old.

Sounds wonderful! I love trying new resorts and typically book a split stay for anything over 5 nights. Sounds like a good deal too!
