Two very active (go go go) late twenties couple with no children. We have never been to DW. SO has been to DL but i've never been to any disney or amusement park like this before. I'd like to ride every ride and get to as many meet and greets as possible.

10/1: 3:35pm Landing at MCO. Head to AK to do the dinosaur portion of the park. After head to Disney Springs to eat at Planet Hollywood and browse some shops.

10/2: AK 8am to 7pm with extra magic hours. MK for fireworks after since we will miss them on the 4th due to Be Our Guest.
Yak & Yeti reservation at 6:45pm. How does that work with the park being closed at 7?

10/3: MK 9am-12am during MNSSHP with Be Our Guest breakfast

10/4: Boardwalk in morning for Bon Voyage breakfast & mini golf. MK after which is open until 1am (wow). Head back to hotel mid afternoon to swim & do laundry/relax then head back to MK for Be Our Guest dinner. Finish anything at MK

10/5: Epcot 8am-9pm with extra magic hours. Teppan Edo Dinner

10/6: HS (9am-9pm?) Scifi Dine for lunch and Fantasmic Dinner @ Hollywood and Vine

10/7: Two water parks 10am to 5pm. Finish up other half of Epcot

Originally we were going to spend all our days at DW but i couldn't resist the thought of visiting Universal for Harry Potter. I dont like wild rides, so will most likely pass on several of those. However for 1 day two park tickets will be around $400+ dollars. Considering the fast pass equivalent that they have so that rides go quicker.

10/8 Full day at Universal. Considering changing our reservations to stay the night over there

10/9 Half day at Universal? Or dont change hotel plans and spend it at DW somewhere.
Plane departs at 4pm

Am i spending to much time at DW? Would i be able to fit in another day at Universal? Or should i just scrap Universal. Not sure when if ever we will be back. Thoughts and opinions welcome!

If Magic Kingdom closes at 7 for a Halloween party, you will not be able to see fireworks that day, unless you buy tickets for the party. I actually recommend doing that, as the Halloween parade & fireworks are supposed to be really good, and you can get a lot of rides or character meets done during the Halloween party.

Party days are the best for crowds at MK, because non-party days tend to be packed during party season. If I were you (having never visited MK), I would spend that entire day, morning to night, at MK, enjoying the relatively low (but still not low) crowds during the day, then staying on for the party at night. I would make that our only MK day, and visit AK another day. Don't worry about missing out on AK EMH. Getting a good, full day in at MK is more important than that. I would not want to do MK on a non-party day during party season. Just too crowded.

If you are really go, go, go then I say go for it!!! Looks like a fun plan - I would be kind of tired during those long days, especially the Epcot one. You may find you want to go back to hotel a few afternoons then head back to park. That works too.

Definitely stay overnight at one of the three premier hotels at universal if budget allows you to. The express pass is brilliant. You could probably do everything at both parks in your time frame with EPs.

You can check in at 7:30am, grab your EPs, and head to the first park for early opening at 8, spend the day there, stay overnight, and up early the next morning for early entry again.

I think it, generally, looks good. Few suggestions:

10/2 - MK fireworks are scheduled for 9 pm that night. There is no way you will make it to MK to see the fireworks with a 6:45 pm Yak & Yeti reservation. You should be in MK no later than 8 pm if you want to see the fireworks.

The OP stated that AK closes at 7 pm on 10/2, not MK. 10/2 is not a MNSSHP night.

Universal - if your only focus is Harry Potter and you aren't interested in the more intense rides, you can get Universal in in one day, IMHO (especially since you seem to be rope drop to close kind of people!). Make sure to get a park-to-park pass so you can ride Hogwart's Express.

If you want to do 1 1/2 days in Uni, definitely switch hotels. If you only do one day, I would probably go back and forth from WDW. If this is the only chance you will have to see Wizarding World of Harry Potter, I would do it. It's stunning.

Yes, if this is potentially your only time you will ever visit the area you MUST go to Universal. The thrill rides are awesome and the HP stuff is literally magical. It's a must visit for me every trip. 1 day for only HP OR if you get an Express Pass... 1 & 1/2 days if you are interested in riding some of the other rides with no EP.

Have so much fun!!

I will agree with most of the people on Universal. It has a lot of things that you will probably like. Staying at one of the Deluxe hotels help with lines in the parks. Another benefit is that City Walk has improved greatly. There are some fun places to eat and drink.

Thank you for the advice. Sorry about all the edits lol, i ended up changing my reservation for lunch instead and do satu'li canteen in the evening. So should be leaving AK around 6:30.
