How does Target discount on Disney gift card work?

It is a 5% coupon mailed to you after every 5. All 3 of my kids and myself have RX that come to about 15 in all so I get 3 a month and if one of us gets sick the nit just adds more. They have a short expiration date so you can't hang on to them too long, but when you add it with your target card it takes 10% off.
We love our target pharmacy, but we use them so much they are like family. I am not sure if it is nation wide, but our location offers free flavoring for kids meds, which is always a nice bonus. Our local CVS charges 3 dollars for it.

I know you said it has a short expiration date. DO you know how long. We want to use this to purchase Disney gift cards probably in August (we have to save up to get lots all at once). Is there any way to make sure we hit 5 that month or the month before? If we are at 4 and it is too early can they not count some of them somehow? We can only rely on DH's prescriptions since I'm on Medicare so it might take a while to hit 5. Thanks!

I asked today and they told me they send them out twice a month and they think they exp is 45 days out.

The number of prescriptions needed to get the discount card is cumulative, meaning that you don't have to get 5 prescriptions in a single month in order to get the discount. They add up over time. So you would need to have 5 prescriptions filled between now and July or August. That's one per month. You can track the number of qualifying prescriptions online.

I know some people have mentioned getting a % off when they buy a Disney gift card at Target. How does this work? Do you have to pay with a target credit card? THanks

Just be careful if you use a Target credit card and don't pay your balance every month. People are buying these things to save 5% and then paying 20% interest.
