How does one use Photopass?

I've heard about the Photopass thing, but can't figure out how it works. Do you sign up when you get there, or when you are in a situation where you would need it? How do you get the pictures?

Thanks!

When a photographer takes your picture they swipe a "photopass" (credit card type thing) which contains your pics. Anytime you have your picture taken hand the photographer this pass and they will load more pics on it. Later in the day you can go to a designated photo shop in the park to view/purchase your pics.
After your vacation you can view them online and purchase additional prints for 30days.

FYI, I saw on a link that someone chose not to buy them once home, but didn't want to lose the memory. So they downloaded them on the computer so they could look at them. :sunny:

Hope this answered your question

It's not necessary to view/purchase at a WDW photo place. You can just view and purchase online once you get home. You can add fun Disney borders and crop too!

we got our picture taken with sorceror mickey at MGM...handed a CM our camera and she took our picture...then another CM handed us a "photopass".
we never had any more pictures taken...but it was fun to come home, log on, and see the pictures.

of course - we were looking at OUR camera...not the disney camera. hehehe

I got over 40 pictures using photopass! It was great. The first day on Main Street, we found the photographer and he set us up and took our pictures. I asked for the photopass. Then I just kept it in my back pocket for the rest of the trip.

Everytime you see a photographer with one of the characters or at a good spot, you just hand it to them and they take the picture. I also took pictures with my camera too. But it was nice to have all 3 of us in some of the shots. I keep looking at mine over and over since I am on vacation let down right now!

Boy, let let me tell you about photo pass. I didn't have any problems, but my sister did. I am laughing hysterically right now! :rotfl2: We got home and I called her to remind her about photo pass. She went online right away, and the first 4 pictures were ok but then the last 3 were of a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FAMILY! So, If you are a black man with two children that had your picture taken in front of space mountain (Epcot golf ball!) on Sat. 11/5 and you have mistakenly received pictures of a family of 4, white Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister, please PM me!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

The first time you go to a park, you'll probably see a CM with a camera in a logical place, our first park was Epcot, and there he was right after we walked in, so our pic could be taken with Spaceship Earth in the background. We approached him, told him we needed a photopass, AND HANDED HIM OUR CAMERA. Used this same photopass every time we saw a CM with a camera, but also ALWAYS handed him our camera also (they were almost all males, funny). most of the pics were pretty identical, but once I forgot to take a pic of DD6 with Suzy and Perla (dd10 was giving me a hard time!), and there was a cut one of DD6 with Ariel that just captured a moment that I didn't get with my pics (when I wasn't/didnt' want to be in the pic, I just took the pics myself), and since Ariel is DD6's favorite princess we had to have that one. Haye fun!
