My mom has not been to DL and will be joining us for a trip in Dec and we will be renting her a scooter. We will all get the MP on our ticket. If we have a FP for a ride and with the scooter you have to enter through the exit will we be able to enter at the time of the FP or will the give us another time to come back? If the lines are a short wait she can wait in them if not she needs to take the scooter if possible.

Also does anyone know of where I can find more information of using a scooter at DL? We know the ins and outs of it at WDW (have done it many times) but not DL.

Thanks

In DCA, just go to the FP line. The queues can handle the ECVs. In DL, some rides you will enter the same FP line, and then they will direct you where to go. On Space Mountain, go to the exit. Show the CM at the phone your FP, they will put you in line for the disability rocket. It may feel like you have to wait longer, but it really is faster usually. Star Tours, go to the FP line and they will direct you. Haunted Mansion, use FP line, if she can do the walk from the hearse to the buggies, she will drop her scooter at the hearse, and then pick it up on the way out. If she can't, they will have her transfer to a manual chair. Matterhorn, enter FP and they will direct. Splash, ask at the line but they still send to the exit. Be careful thru the exit as it is slippery and scooters can slide. IASW, enter the FP line.

If you have any questions, just ask someone at the ride.

I have noticed that you are asking a lot of questions for your mother. Good on you!!!!

If I may....has your mother rented a scooter before? If not, you might want to consider a test drive.

If your mom has the scooter mostly to go from ride to ride but wouldn't have trouble standing in line, then you can always just park the scooter in stroller areas and use FP as normal. I got a bad case of tendonitis at DL once and needed a wheelchair for the walking between rides part, but was fine standing in line. So I just ditched it with the strollers and didn't bother with the disabled entrances.

I go with my Mom in a wheelchair all the time and our passes include MaxPass, and we use it a ton. You will book your fastpass and when it is time, go to the ride and either enter the fastpass line if it can accommodate the scooter (rides like Buzz, Small World). Other rides, you will be directed to a slightly different entrance and will be asked if you have a return time or need one. Just tell them that you have a fastpass (which is now the return time), and they will scan it and send you to the ride (examples include Big Thunder, Indy, Space Mountain, Haunted).

Thank you for all the info. Yes, mom has rented a scooter many times at WDW. This will be her first trip to DL. I like to get all the info I can before hand so I know what to expect. I have only visited DL 2 times just for a few days so not a vet of those parks.
